Phil Steele's 'projected' top 10 for next season
-
the_systemNote: These are not his choices. This is what he predicts the AP will look like at the beginning of the season. Interesting that no Big 10 teams are listed. OSU is #11 and Nebraska is #12. That will be a huge game on Oct. 8th in Lincoln, and could be the first of two times they meet.

vball10setinteresting-- I didn't realize how close he was last year
-
Ty WebbLooks about right
-
gerb131Ah whatever I guess. I don't like FSU/SCAR/OK ST that high.
-
Little Danny^^^ FSU is getting a lot of love. The folks over on the four letter network or going ga-ga over the Noles. FSU will likely be in the top 10 to start next year but I doubt they finish up there. It reminds me of the euphoria of the past couple years about the Miami Hurricanes supposedly being back. We saw how that ended up. I will not be a believer in FSU until they prove it on the field. Final note: only one ACC team has won a BCS game in the past decade (VT: Miami and VT won theirs earlier when in the BE).
In regards to the Cocks, I think the ole ball coach is about done. They have a lot of talent, but never seem to get over the hurdle of the elite SEC teams: Florida, LSU, Bama and Auburn. -
Trueblue23The Noles are back. Jimbo's boys could dominate the ACC for a while.

sleeperOSU is a top 10 team, year in, year out. This isn't Florida, we are good EVERY YEAR.
Joke list. -
Pick6Id say the 5 guys out for almost half of a season has a bit to do with being ranked so low

Come on sleeper.....teams are allowed to have a down year...much like Ohio State in 2000-2001 and 2004 -

If we can win out in those games, we lose nothing and build valuable depth at key positions. -

Good point. They play in the weakest division in all of college football. Couple that with an equally shitty OOC schedule and I could see them winning that many. -

South Carolina beat #1 Bama, Georgia, and Florida in 2010. They also were leading Auburn entering the 4th quarter in the first match up before getting steamrolled in the SEC championship game. Lattimore was a beast last year and can only improve (barring injury) with a full year in a college strength and conditioning program. If Garcia can find a way to be consistent, SC will be a factor in the SEC. -
Scarlet_Buckeye1) The fact that the PROJECTED best team from the B1G is NOT in the Top Ten is a joke.
2) Texas A&M is NOT a Top Ten team
3) When is Sleeper going to be permanently sent to the basement? -
dat dudeTexas A&M #6 in the country? Not a chance.
-
karen lotzAlso add Jadaveon Clowney to South Carolina, if he can qualify.

I did not know that was a concern in the SEC. -
Big GainIf the suspensions are reduce to 4 games Ohio State won't miss a beat.
