Tate Forcier transferring to Miami Fl

  • Speedofsand
After Bridgewater committed to Louisville and last weekend Brissett signing with the Gators, the EWE is desperate for a QB.

Good for him. He has to sit out a year doesn't he?
  • september63
    Yes.

Aw, West Liberty fans were just positive he'd transfer to the Hilltop to play for the Pineapple.
  • gerb131
He isn't a bad qb from what I have seen. I hope he does well.

Yes, best of luck to him at da U. He never seemed like he wanted to be there last year. (He may have, just didn't sound or look like it). He is not bad, he just is fragile, as he could never make through a season without an injury.

I do not understand why anyone would take him as a transfer. The kid could not keep grades to stay in at Michigan so they must not be good as you only have to have a 2.0 to stay at the University.

When did grades start to matter at Miami?

at some point you would think it would be had to get in the University though.

I thought Miami was a top flight academic institution? Haha how on earth did he get into Miami after the academic shenanigans he pulled at Michigan

The guy blows, he will rot in Miami.

Too bad he has to sit out a year. It would have been fun to see the Bucks beat up on him again this year.

Forcier said it was VERY easy for a football player to stay eligible at Michigan.

Just like at other top-flight football schools, you have to really be trying NOT to be eligible at UM, as a football player.

Frankly, I think Forcier skill set is better suited for Miami University, not the University of Miami. He will be riding the pine in Coral Gables until his eligibility runs out. Maybe he'll get to be the place holder.

Tate will have a better shot playing at the U than at Miami Ohio. I figured he'd go to a non-bcs school too though where he would have a great shot to be the #1 guy. He will still have a decent shot at the U. He played hard at Michigan, I wish him well.

not really, the rule is 2.0 everywhere. the classes you take are your choice and everywhere has easy classes. No one can stay at a university with lower than a 2.0 average for long which is why I am surprised he got in anywhere.

If there is ever another Forcier, please don't send your tape or anything to Michigan.

I guess the family went 3-3. At times he was great, but he was very dumb in others. He kind of reminds me of Ben Roethlisberger in his STYLE of play.

So Forcier uses his strength and size to throw tacklers off of him and to power out of sacks? Because that is Roethlisberger's style. Maybe you mean his style of choosing between run and pass.

I'm thinking more of running around like you're in the backyard and making something out of nothing.

I wasn't meaning his style of play overall, just that 1 piece of it. Because they both look brilliant at times doing it but look like idiots at other times.
