Buckeye fans, who would you rather have?

  And no, go-to does not mean "1 player that they will always rely on when things are down".
  
  Obviously you don't understand the definition of a go-to guy. Will they look to him first? ABSOLUTELY. But he's not the only one that can make a play, which is why they are so dangerous. But he is option #1.

  The actual definition of "go to guy" means "the player that is expected to score"
  
  So in other words, if a player is the "go to guy" when they need a score, the ball is given to that player. In other words, Turner last year. This year, it is 5 different guys. Any one of those guys can be that #1 option depending on what the defense gives them. They do not rely on 1 player. This is what I have said all along.
  
  BTW, option #1 would not be "go to". "go to" would be the guy that they give the ball to no matter what ala Jimmer, LeBron, Jordan, etc.

  Not sure if you've ever played basketball or not, but most teams have a go-to guy. And I'm not sure where you got that definition, but I would say it means "player that is expected to make a play".
  
  Again, do I have to explain the difference between a post player that is a team's go-to guy and a guard who is the same? It's quite different.
  
  Can't believe I've wasted my time defending Sullinger as OSU's go to guy.

  Also, that definition is from Dictionary.com, meaning it has more behind it than whatever arbitary meaning you have.

  dynasty, I just gave up--it's frustrating debating with someone who refuses to look at all sides of a discussion. I agree the Buckeyes are a more balanced team than last year, and that they don't have to rely on one player to carry them...BUT, I also believe (as you stated) that every team has a "go to" guy--and in the 2010-2011 edition of TOSU, that guy is Jared Sullinger.

  And Dynasty, how can you say who is wrong and who isn't? It's a matter of opinions. Just because someone has a differing opinion, does not mean they're wrong. Definitions of a "go to" guy can vary from person to person.
