This week in the Big Ten: 1/31

Terry_TateHoly cow Iowa just had a sweet play with just over a minute to go. This did not look like the same Iowa team I've seen the rest of the year. Sparty may have just punched their ticket out of the tournament.

burt07Well, after starting 10-1 Illinois is trying their best to get themselves on the bubble. With their loss today at Northwestern they've gone 5-7 in their last 12 and don't exactly have the easiest stretch of games coming up. If they don't get things turned around it'd be interesting to see what ends up happening to Mr. Weber.
In other league news Iowa gets their 3rd conference win at Indiana, 3 more than their projected zero. -
WriterbuckeyeI have to believe Weber is on the hot seat. He's located right in the middle of a hotbed area of great players to recruit, has recruited a few studs, but hasn't done a thing with any of them.
The fans have to be near the end of their patience with him. -
Big GainMichigan State might be the worst team in the Big Ten

Laley23Even though Indiana lost, this dunk deserves this post.

Northwestern 4-7 14-8
Michigan 4-7 14-10
Indiana 3-8 12-12
Iowa 3-8 10-13
Probably will only have three ranked teams come Monday afternoon. Four teams with a +.500 record. Thats pretty surprising, but then again the rest of the league is only at most 2.5 games back from being in 4th place.
Also, Korie Lucious was in Ames,Iowa for the ISU-Kansas State game on Saturday and looks like he might be transferring there. If he does join the program, he would be the 4th Big 10 player to transfer there. Chris Allen(MSU), Royce White(MIN) and Chris Babb(PSU) are the others.
