The Gophers Al Nolen broke his foot in Saturday's game at Michigan and could be out the rest of the season. Tough loss for the Gophers.

Kind of a lackluster week on the surface when looking at the schedule, although headlined and leading off with what could be the the matchup of the season.

@ northwestern could be a trap game

It could be, but I doubt it. Their next game is Michigan at home. Other than the fact that it's Michigan, not much else to look ahead to.

OSU could really seperate themselves with a win vs Purdue, then taking care of business vs NW and Mich. That would put them at 10-0 in Big Ten, and in the drivers seat.

I think there's about 4,000 people at the Penn State-Iowa game right now. And that might be generous.

    ^^^ I noticed this as well...pretty pathetic

Coaching PSU in basketball is a dregs job. No interest, lots of empty seats.

It's pretty much the same at Nebraska on the men's side.

Next year the Big 10 will have two of these programs, which isn't good.

It's good for more Buckeye wins at least.

Michigan State now down 12 at home to Michigan early in the 2nd half. Yikes.

MSU down 7 with about 3 minutes left, Izzo looks like he's about a minute away from this: (fast forward to 1:10) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMqu5HkGRfY

Michigan holds on and gets the win 61-57. Things are ugly ugly ugly in East Lansing right now.

Well no one is dumb enough to think Izzos run is over or that the program as a whole is in shambles. BUT for this year, witht he Allen/Lucious dismissals and the puzzling play/loses...the sky is falling. Again, for this year only.

Yeah I suppose this season is pretty much a loss already. They look NIT bound

I've read on several comments sections of different websites that Izzo's issues with this team stem from rumors surrounding the Cavs interest in him to coach in Cleveland. I just don't see the issue there, but I've seen it a couple times.

Illinois looks soooo dead. They look like they don't even care. IU is taking advantage of it.

Michigan State should still make the NCAA tournament unless they completely fall apart. Tonight was their first bad loss. They have 5 more games with Iowa, Indiana, Penn State (at home), and at Michigan that they should win (if they haven't already quit). They also have at Wisconsin, at Ohio State, vs. Illinois, at Minnesota, and vs. Purdue. If they win 3 of those they are a lock. If they win 2 of those and win a game or 2 in the Big Ten tournament, they will be right around 20 wins and would almost definitely be in.

Gus Johnson sure is on fire. IU up one w/.35 to go.
  • Midstate01
IU about to pull the shocker

Did crean really make the illinois coaches have to stand there and wait to shake hands so he could go hug his family. That's a new one.
  • burt07
Ehhh I know it's a good win for Indiana and it's been awhile for IU but geez, you would think they took down the Lakers tonight with the Crean/crowd reaction.

Court rushing a bit much, but yeah it's been awhile.
