Notre dame at pitt
-
Crimson streakGame is Monday at 7. The Irish are looking for a big road win. Thoughts?
-
reclegend22That Pitt's 20-game winning streak at the Oakland Zoo continues.
-
Midstate01Pitt by 12+. Nd is so inconsistent and Pitt is looking really good.
-
karen lotzIts good that ND has Carelton Scott back but going into Pitt and winning with the way they have been playing is a lot to ask. ND has been bad on the road.
-
athlete37We matchup well with Pittsburgh in my opinion, but it'll be tough on the road. Spread opened at Pitt -10.5, couple points higher than I thought it'd be. Kinda like the low pressure opportunity for the Irish before the run of "must wins" just by sheer low quality of upcoming opponents
-
vball10setI think ND will keep it close, but Pitt pulls away to win by 8..hope I'm wrong, though-love to see the Irish pull the upset.
-
karen lotzIrish are using their "Burn" offense pretty effectively so far. Up 4 with 3:30 to go...
-
karen lotzAnd Ben Hansbrough has taken over. 3 straight buckets deep in the shot clock. ND up 4 with a little over 2 to play and the ball.
-
KR1245Nice win for the Irish

wildcats20Really didn't expect a win from ND tonight. That's a huge win considering their recent struggles.
-
Midstate01Very nice win. Glad I took ND with some vcash!
-
athlete37not sure what is meant by recent struggles. In the last month they've beaten Georgetown, UConn, St. John's, Marquette, and Cincinatti. Losses at Cuse, Marquette and St. John's aren't terrible and we're now on a little 3 game streak. I'd say they've struggled on the road this year, but now with neutral wins over Georgia and Wisconsin, and a win over Gonzaga too, I'd say ND's making quite the resume for March
-
athlete37also note that the losses to Marquette and SJ were without Carleton Scott...
-
Tobias FünkeNotre Dame's resume for March is terrific with wins over Georgetown, Connecticut, and Pittsburgh.
They're 17-4. I know there are no "easy" wins in the Big East, but I think their games @ DePaul, @ South Florida, @ Providence, vs. Rutgers and vs. Seton Hall are pretty much a given if they come to play. 22 wins coming out of the Big East is good enough for the tournament in my opinion.
If they can beat #16 Louisville (in South Bend) they could stretch this winning streak to seven before heading to West Virginia for a big showdown. West Virginia is better than people think.

karen lotzathlete, they have struggled recently especially on the road. This was their first road win I think. They were embarrassed at Marquette and St Johns. Yes they were without Scott which was obviously a big loss for them, but they weren't competitive. Didn't they beat Gtown and UCONN without Scott? That argument gets thrown out the window. Either way, I think the tournament selection committee takes into account players missing games and the outcomes so it shouldn't bother them too much when it comes down to the seeding.

WVU should be better, but they just lost to Marshall. -

That's what I was saying.
Obviously, they aren't struggling. You don't go into the Zoo and win if you are struggling. But they did have a stretch of games, recently, that they were not playing well in. That's all I was saying.
And like I said, this is a huge win for the Irish. And should spring board them for the rest of the Big East season and Tourny.
