Texas....Huge Upset..or Crap Thy Self????
-
vball10setTexas was the team I picked as my sleeper when posed the question on an earlier thread about potential NC contenders, so if it's an upset--it's a very mild one....they're an excellent basketball team.

You're a loser dude...you were proved wrong in that thread, and now you want to bring it up again??
Texas beat the shit out of Kansas in the 2nd half, and KU lost, oh well it's a loss (their first one @ home in 4 years and their first loss since last season) in January. -
hoops23This isn't college football. A loss, or even a few for that matter don't mean shit. Just as if OSU lost yesterday, I wouldn't have really cared.
-
SportsAndLadyI mean I did not really care about the loss, the only thing I cared about was the fact that the home winning streak was snapped...sucks its over, it was really an impressive streak that did not get a lot of attention.
-
hoops23Very impressive considering that the 2nd best is 30.

This post is even funnier now that I've read a few things about Thomas Robinson's situation.
Did you know that his mother died friday night at 11 PM. All of the players were at the hospital all night with Robinson and his family. Do you think that built a little more team chemistry? That the players only got 1 hour of sleep the night before a huge game in order to be there with him and his family? I'd say yes. -

LMAO...actually, I was proved right by THIS loss at home. And your boy Selby is the move overrated/overhyped frosh in the country on top of it!! By the way, I could give a FUCK about Thomas. Sully lost an uncle, went to the wake, then put on a show that same nite! Just one of your LAME ASS excuses again! Keep them coming though! -

LMAO..didn't care about the loss but you start a thread about Kansas putting on a show vs Baylor? You are quite the funny guy. LOL -

BTW, your so fucking ignorant and thin skinned to figure out I was just "messin" with you...ie: the wink! Get a clue and chill out! -

Wow! Even for you, that is pretty bad. The 19 year old kid lost his MOTHER the day before a game...and you "could give a FUCK"? -

What? Lol that doesn't even make sense.
I started a thread about them going 23-29 in one half...That is quite a feat.
Obviously I care about them going 23-29 in one half, and do not care about a first loss in January. Especially considering the team spent the whole night before with a teammate whose mother had just died. -

Ya, sorry, I won't be moarning the loss or losing sleep over it. I feel for the kid. But unless I personally know them..it really has no affect on my life pal. -

Ya, I really didn't think you would get it either. No surprise... -
JesterWhy is the thing with Sully even brought up? Every person deals with a loss differently. Obviously both were probably affected, but to what extent they were, we will never know. As far as the team remaining with him throughout the night, that definitely says something about the team.

I'm not asking you to mourn it or lose sleep over it? I'm saying it affected the team to an extent that they all spent the night at the hospital with Thomas. Then had to play against the #10 team in the nation after getting literally minutes of sleep.
You look incredibly ignorant here. -

Great read. Didnt he lose his grandmother right around the time they were playing OU in Vegas? During Saturday's broadcast Verne Lundquist said it was rumored that his grandfather(were not sure which side) passed away on Monday but could not get confirmation...anything true to this?SportsAndLady;652106 wrote:Go ahead and read this article, cbf

Yeah his mother died friday night; his mother's mother died in late December; and his mother's father died during the KU/Baylor game earlier last week.
What makes it worse is Thomas' sister is 9 years old and has no one to live with currently, because her mom and grandmother took care of her in DC.
A bit of good news is that the NCAA just ruled that KU was able to support the 9 year old sister and pay for the funeral and the players' and Robinson's flight to DC for the funeral. There is already talk of several people very close to the team offering their home for the 9 year old to stay so that Thomas can see her all the time in Lawrence. There's even a few people close to the program wanting to adopt the girl.
Self asked the team whether they wanted to practice or look at tape of the UT game, and they all asked him how they would be able to get to DC for the funeral and to be with their teammate. -

Go tell somebody who really gives a shit. I don't. Don't waste your time jackoff. Your just an immature dick and continuing to prove it by your stupid little signature bullshit. Pretty comical.
Again, a sad story, no question. But shit happens all over the world on a daily basis. -
thedynasty1998CBF, although I have disagreed with you before, I've never questioned your dignity. However, you have stooped to a new low and just can't admit when you are wrong. You are wrong here.

Wrong? What, do you want me to fall down crying for the kid or what? Sad story, I said i feel for the kid. Other than that, it doesn't affect my world. Is that wrong? Jackoff(sportladywhatever) can't take a joke and nor leave it be. I made a JOKE(go read with the wink) about Kansas chemistry and Jackoff WENT OFF like the FOOL he is. Then can't let it go. If you think thats wrong..so be it. I won't lose any sleep over it. -

Didn't you have a quote from S&L in your signature as well at some point?
