Oregon vs. Oregon State...Buckeye Fans, Who Do You Want?
-
killdeerThese two throw down tomorrow night (12/3). Apparently a pretty big deal in the state of Oregon. Personally, I'm interested because of the Rose Bowl implications. I think the Buckeyes match-up better (obviously?) against the Beavers. The offensive scheme of the Ducks reminds me of the kind of unpredictable and wide-open scheme that the Bucks don't fare well against. Nonetheless...I think I'm pulling for the Ducks. If the Bucks are going to the Grandaddy...let's square off against the best the PAC-10 has to offer.

newarkcatholicfanOregon State.

cavattackI want Oregon, it will give us more credibility with a win going into next year. In my opinion, a win against Oregon St. would not be looked upon as a huge win and we would probably be favored going into the game. Not much to gain and more even worse criticism if we lose.

killdeer^^^Agree.

Cleveland Buck
This, even though depending on which Pryor and Tressel show up, they might beat our ass pretty good.cavattack wrote: I want Oregon, it will give us more credibility with a win going into next year. Red_Skin_PrideI actually want Oregon. I've watched both play twice this year, and Oregon's lines both look very unimpressive. I think we'll fair pretty well against their defensive line, and OUR defensive line would give them fits IMO. Watched Arizona basically hand them the game to get back in it after outplaying them most of the night, and thinking "damn, if Arizona's defense can get to Masoli that many times, we should be able to get him even more". That's just my opinion. I know they have solid set of skill players, but nothing like the NFL-type roster USC has almost every year, or the SEC teams OSU seems to struggle against. I think we would hold them well below their season average, and I think if we score 28 it's enough to win against them, because our defense will eat them for lunch.
That being said, Oregon State has a better offensive line than Oregon's defensive line (and probably better than our O-line), so it would really suprise me if they didn't win tomorrow night. I think they'll pound the ground with quizz Rodgers, and they have a very good passing attack that kinda gets overlooked in favor of Rodgers. I think we'll be seeing OSU vs. OSU in the Rose Bowl.
Ironically, whoever we play, it will have a nice matchup "ring" to it...OSU vs. OSU or Bucks vs. Ducks. Pretty good stuff -
Little DannyGood Synopsis Red Skin. For those watching the game tomorrow watch for Jacquizz Rogers brother James. He is a wideout and in my opinion more dangerous than his brother. You will probably see more Fly Sweeps in one game than you have seen all season.
-
killdeerI am expecting a really entertaining game...I hope we are not disappointed.
-
dwccrewI want Oregon. I feel they are the best team the PAC 10 has to offer this season. I want to beat the best they have to offer. Let's go Bucks!!!!
-
believer^^^If Oregon State beats Oregon would that not then make Oregon State the best the PC-10 has to offer? Just sayin'.
-
FairwoodKingI'm rooting for Oregon State because I pull for Cincinnati.

centralbucksfanI want Oregon. I think they are the better team, and I want OSU to play the best available team. They have to start earning back national respect. To do that, they obviously have to win, and they have to beat a good team. And it will catepault them into a top 5 for next year.
-
OneBuckeye^I agree... I don't care as long as we beat them down on Jan 1.
-
Thunder70Don't care. I think we beat either one.
-
NOL fanfor reference, Ohio State is 9-0 against these 2 schools alltime. 7-0 vs Oregon (including 1-0 in the Rose Bowl) and 2-0 vs Oregon State

I would agree. Oregon State has senior leadership at QB who doesn't make a lot of mistakes and explosive playmakers all over the field on offense. The brothers Rodgers and some other dangerous speed guys on the outside. This game should be a lot of fun tonight. I don't care who wins, but I think I like OSU and the points tonight.believer wrote: ^^^If Oregon State beats Oregon would that not then make Oregon State the best the PC-10 has to offer? HesstonBoth of these teams are dangerous, I've heard 'experts' pick both.
I havnt seen either much I think the Ducks win.
I would rather play the Beavers (I think) -
BCSbunkIt does not matter to me which one we play. Both are quality teams and one will be the Pac-10 Champion which trumps imaginary "best" anyday.
I think Oregon will win though. -
jhay78I want the PAC-10 champion, I don't care which one it is.
If Oregon St. goes to Autzen and wins, with all that's at stake, then they're the better team. I guess beating Oregon (probably as an underdog) would be more impressive nationally, but personally I don't care. -
SQ_CraziesDon't care.
-
ptangzootOregon state...cause they are Beavers...and I like beaver...
wait...am I in the right forum? -
FootwedgeI don't think Oregon is the best the PAC 10 has to offer. They can make that claim if they win tonight.
I agree with redskin fan's analysis. I think Oregon State is the better team. Oregon State has played better football than Oregon has over the past 5 weeks or so.
Oregon has the better offense...but State has a much better defense. -

Some day Oregon State will play the g cocks from South Carolina. There would be a lot of belley bumpin going on in that one.ptangzoot wrote: Oregon state...cause they are Beavers...and I like beaver...
