Michigan, a team that was projected to be in the top 4 in the Big Ten, lost to one of the bottom half ACC teams at HOME.
And a Wisky team, who is projected in the middle of the Big Ten, beat a team who many think will win the ACC.

Yeah, but I'm not denying anything?

Even in the past years, the Big 10 was as deep as any league, they just keep getting better, especcially after Big 10 play. The Big 10's problem seems to that they beat up on each other during the conference play. Not a bad problem to have.
I think there is still plenty of doubt. If we are taking this season there is a good argument the ACC and the Big 10 are fairly even (the B10 won 6-5 in this matchup thanks to the choke job by Clemson and ranked Georgia Tech did not participate in the matchup). I think it is pretty clear the Big East is better at the top and has more depth than both confereces this season. Consider:

    Villanova
    UCONN
    WVU
    Syracuse
    Louisville
    Pitt
    Cincinnati
    Georgetown
    Marquette
    Notre Dame

How many of those teams do you think reach the Sweet 16, Elite 8 and Final 4 (and be the one of winning it all). I think quite a few.

You shouldn't have listed Notre Dame..

Well, when you have what, 16 teams in a conference compared to 10,11....the odds are, you going to have more teams capable.

I called the Big 10 winning despite all of Reclegends banter about them not winning.

I've been a follower of the Big Ten my whole life but I'm certainly not ready to say that the Big Ten is clearly better than the "other conference". I think it is fair to say that the Big Ten is very competitive with the ACC, and that is a major change from what it's been for the last several or more years, but the jury is still out over the long haul. Let's celebrate our new position in this rivalry and hope that it continues, and that the Big Ten can become the dominant conference of the two as time goes by. I think that the NCAA Tournament will be a much better measuring stick of the comparative strength of the two conferences and that's coming up.......and it's going to be something!
