Remind Calipari of that, I'm sure he and other coaches will change how they coach when their game is nationally televised. You're joking here, right?wildcats20;644170 wrote:Uh. Yes. Not only was the game on ESPN, they interviewed him at the under 16 timeout in the first half. The camera is ALWAYS on.
I have been good at ignoring you, but you are a "selfish motherfucker".Big Gain;644644 wrote:Calipari is a dick, acts no better than a slave owner at times. -

You asked if he knew when the camera was on him. I answered the question. -

Couldn't agree more with you. Cal should certainly know that he is going to be on TV whenever the game is televised. He along with a handful of other coaches are high profile guys. Cal loves TV and exposure as well. He eats it up.(Slick Willy). As you said, he should know better. -

This might possibly be the most retarded post i've ever seen. Saying a college basketball coach acts like a slave owner?Big Gain;644644 wrote:Calipari is a dick, acts no better than a slave owner at times.
I know it's usually CoA's thing, but I nominate this for IPOTW. -
reclegend22There's a line in the ESPN movie A Season on the Brink regarding Bobby Knight where an Indiana assistant coach tells player Daryl Thomas, "When he's calling you an asshole, don't listen. When he's telling you why you're an asshole, listen."
Maybe John Calipari was simply telling Terrence why he is an inconsiderate motherfucker.
This is major college basketball, folks. Not prepubescent bowling. Get the fuck out of here with this self-righteous bs. I've been inside of a Coach K-run practice. Four-letter-words and other profanities are part of the culture of major sports. When used at the opportune time and when directed at the right types of personalities, curse words are used by coaches as truly motivating tools. Look at Bobby Knight and the drill sergeant approach he presided over his program in Bloomington. It worked. Of course, you need a healthy balance of authoritative and sympathetic instruction. And as much as Calipari's players demonstrate their love for him as a coach and as a person, this latest "incident" is nothing to blow up. It goes on everyday across the country. Calipari's just happened to be caught on TV. -
Big GainSeems like Calipari is always apologizing for something.

Those of us who think using that kind of language to dress down a player on national TV are naive. I don't think so.Those who are up in arms must be incredibly naive
