Oregon's helmets
-
Scarlet_BuckeyeHow sweet were those bad boys? I think those were the best looking helmets in all of college football last night [and yes that includes helmets such as OSU's, Michigan's, ND's, Florida St.'s, etc.] Best in college bar none.
And I commented earlier last month too how I hated the socks/shoe combination. Well, I was wrong. Those looked VERY cool.
Hats off to Nike and Oregon last night for sporting some of the 'baddest' unis in college football. -
vball10setagree--Oregon definitely won the Uniform Bowl (and IMO, the Hottest Cheerleader Bowl as well)
-
THE4RINGZI also thought the helmets were the best part of the uniforms last night.
I hate the duck wings on the shoulders of their jersies, but other than that, the best in the business. -

I wasn't a big fan of the "duck wings" either, but they have really come to grow on me. I think it looks "elitist," and while I may disdain that from an outsider's point of view, it's pretty sweet if you're an Oregonian. They remind me of Caesar's crown. -
THE4RINGZYeah I will give you that.
To me, they just look cheap, and distract me from the overall sweetness of the rest of the uniform. But I have a mild case of Adult ADHD so shit like throws me off sometimes. -
sherm03Maybe it was just the coloring on my TV...but I did not like that the "O" on the helmet, the lining outside of the numbers on the jerseys, and the sock/shoes looked highlighter yellow.
If all of those had been a different shade of yellow, I would have been on board with the uniforms. But I couldn't get past that. -
j_crazyseemed like players (for oregon especially) seemed to have trouble keeping their footing. too me that negates how cool the unis were.

From here...http://www.nikeblog.com/2010/12/14/nike-bowl-uniforms-oregon-florida-tcu-boise-st/
Has close up images of Oregon, Boise, and TCU's bowl game unis. -
hoponpopUniforms helmets were awesome but most impressed by the oregon cheerleaders Holy Moly
-
OneBuckeyeI thought the uniform was bad, OK for Oregons standards though. Helmets are meh. I think the wings are relevent and should be there. The rest of the uni is not.
Uniwatch has a good breakdown http://www.uniwatchblog.com/ -
jordo212000Liked the helmets.
Didn't care for the numbers. Thought they were hard to read.
Shoes looked okay, but to me their product development department needs to reconsider the placement of the cleat lugs. TCU was slipping and sliding in their bowl game too (Both had special Nike cleats for the occasion).
All in all, I thought their unis were cool. -
OQBI love Oregon's uniforms! The shoe/sock combination created a built in spat look...very cool. I also liked the numbers on the sleeves of their undershirts that was a neat feature as well.
By far the most creative and unique in the country. A great recruiting tool as well.
I also liked this uniform which they wore this year as well....love the helmet color.
My question is, do they use the same helmets, or do they actually have 5 sets of helmets for all the players.....talk about a lot of money being spent, wow!
on a side note: The Cheerleaders....WOW! haha they would look good in anything. -
jordo212000Yeah I like the flat black helmets as well.
The difference between the cheerleaders was amazing haha. Auburn had the real traditional, classy look and Oregon's cheerleaders were the opposite of that A+ to the cheerleading outfit designer -

Beside the helmet, the numbered undershirts were the best part IMO. Really, really liked that. -
Scarlet_BuckeyeCount me in too as another person who liked the number son the undershirts.
Yes, Oregon has like 5-6 different helmets. -
darbypitcher22they have a ton of swag
