All in all, SEC and Big Ten pretty even

  • johngrizzly
I know the Big Ten took some shots on January 1 but after the Bucks dominating performance last night against a damn good Arkansas team, the Big Ten and SEC are very even strength wise throughout the last few seasons.

Most Buckeye fans will agree, the media tends to have a complex against Ohio State and the Big Ten. Even last night's announcers were rooting for Arkansas. If you look past what the media says and look at the past SEC/Big Ten scores, you see a pattern. IT'S EVEN!

All of the SEC's bowl wins were against the Big Ten. Ohio State dominated no one last night and next Monday the SEC will most likely be the home of the last 5 national champions.

Ummm, no. I do content year in and year out, the Big 12 Ten is the second best conference.

Agree this thread is not correct!

Well I do stand corrected. The Arkansas O line got dominated pretty thoroughly by the OSU d line. But as far as overall? If that guy picks the blocked punt up OSU lost.

SEC and the Big Ten are the two top conferences.........

    1. SEC
    2. Big Ten

Yes the B10 took some shots on jan 1st.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it (OSU's victory over Arkansas) a "dominating" performance.

Yes Arkansas is pretty damn good.

The B10 and the SEC are NOT even. The SEC is a (performance-wise) "better" conference. Even I'll admit that. I just hate it when SEC thumpers get on here (or anywhere for that matter) and talk as if the teams in that damn conference are unbeatable and FAR superior. Unbeatable? No. Superior? Probably. FAR superior? HELL NO!

Blackedge was DEFINITELY for Arkansas last night.

Both announcers last night were urging on Arkansas, especially after OSU got up big. They wanted a game, I'm sure. Otherwise, I didn't discern any great bias one way or another.

That was a very strange game. So many odd bounces of the ball and calls that could have (should have) gone the other way, like the faux safety call. It seemed like just about everything that happened in the second half favored the hogs, which made the game a lot closer than it ever should have been.

My only gripe against the coverage was the replay of the Arkansas player taking a dirty shot at Cam Heyward's knees and not saying what a dirty piece of crap the guy was for doing that. He should have been flagged and tossed for deliberately trying to hurt Heyward. Then again, Arkansas was mouthy all night, like they were big shit.

    Turns out, they weren't.

JohnGrizzly is another Sleeper type poster if nobody has noticed. Take what he says with a big grain of salt.

Dominating may not be the right word, but they did handle them. The Bucks never trailed in the game.

And yes I agree, Arkansas was mouthy, you could just tell. I'm glad Tress doesn't stand for that kind of garbage.
