Cincinnati makes their way into the polls for the first time, will be interesting to see what they can do in the Crosstown Shootout this week, and then against some more legitimate competition. -
Crimson streakI don't see how georgetown is above nd. When nd beat georgetown?
-
athlete37Yea, weird. Oh well, if we go 2-0 this week we'll jump them. If not, it won't matter anyways.
-
wildcats20Yeah, I would agree with you 2.
Notre Dame's losses are to Kentucky and Syracuse. Even though both of them were by 10+, they aren't bad losses.
We will see how Georgetown's loss to Temple looks in the coming weeks. -
athlete37Yea, and although they were by plus ten, ND was competitive in each, with an 11 point lead against Kentucky in Louisville and a 6 point second half lead at Syracuse.

Oklahoma and UD aren't bad. UD is 12-3 and has played some decent competition. UC crushed them. I don't know if X is that good this year to be honest. However, it is the Shootout and anything can happen. Obviously I am looking forward to the game but UC's real test will be the following game against Villanova. -

Oklahoma isn't bad?
They lost to Chaminade. They do not have a win this year against a team that will make the tournament. -
Little DannyI'm not saying they are good either. They do have some good, young athletes and will be better as the year progresses. Even though Oklahoma is down, beating an Oklahoma carries a lot more weight than playing a lower level DI program.
BTW, Chaminade has pulled off a number of wins over larger programs over the years. -
wildcats20That's fine.
But THIS year, Oklahoma is not a good team. Beating Oklahoma will carry more weight ONLY because they are in the Big 12. It has nothing to do with how good of team they are, which is wrong IMO.
Oklahoma is 7-6. Chaminade is 7-5 and is Div. 2. -
CinciX12There is flat out no way that UC deserves to be ranked. RPI in the 60's and a strength of schedule that INCLUDES 2 Big East schools in the 320s?!?! You have played no one. UD lost to Savannah fucking state. Oklahoma's best win is Oral Roberts. Get the fuck out of here.
There is honestly a good chance that X beats them in the shootout and then Villanova beats the living piss out of them. 14-0 and then 2 straight losses gets you a shut the fuck up and go away card for Mick. X might not beat them in the shootout depending which X team comes to play, but Villanova is definitely better than the Clifton losers. -

X12, you going to the game? I won't be able to make, I live in Columbus. There is a joint UC/XU alumni gathering here in Columbus at the Montgomery Inn in Dublin. Looking forward to see if the Cats are legit. -
CinciX12Seton Hall is your best fucking win Mick and they wouldn't be in the top half of the A10 this year. Get the fuck outta here.
No one could ever guess its Crosstown week from my attitude I'm sure. But seriously, get the fuck outta here if you think that UC deserves jack shit. These are the same players as last year. Its not like OSU and adding Sullinger. -

I am actually! Are you going? It would be nice to know there is at least one sane person with a C on their shirt in the building -
wildcats20Georgetown takes a hit tonight.
3 point loss on the road in MSG to St. John's.
Kid from St. John's absolutely had one of the best half cross overs I have ever seen to get to the rim with seconds left. -

Maybe next time you use the foul language for emphasis you should at least make sure your statement is correct.CinciX12;623522 wrote:UD lost to Savannah fucking state. -

Correct. My apologies.
Lets discuss you getting raped by UC. They doubled your score like they were playing a junior high girls team. That I am positive of. -
CinciX12My sincere apologies indeed now that I actually wasted 20 seconds of my life and looked up something on UD basketball. UD lost to East Tennessee State. Which is easily confused with another shitty school called Savannah State. Again, my sincerest apologies.

alwaysawarriorOklohoma is not very good this year. UD certainly isn't great. UC has played as horrific a schedule as i can ever remember. That being said i do believe this is a much better uc team than the last couple of years. I think they will beat X on Thursday and then we will see how good they are actually going to be against Villanova and the rest of the big east. Only time will tell, but i expect them to be slightly better than .500 in BEast play.

Yeah that definitely was a nice move, a good win for the Storm but it might be tough sledding for them coming up, I saw that graphic about how their next 6 or 7 games are against ranked opponents. Definitely seem to be going in the right direction though.wildcats20;623651 wrote:Georgetown takes a hit tonight.

Agreed. My argument is on deserving a ranking.
And it was nice to see ND take down UConn tonight. Might put them in the top 10? -

Not if they lose to the Johnnies on Saturday. Which, I think they might.
Edit..
Eh, nevermind, it's in South Bend. -
CinciX12
At this point wherever St. John's plays it doesn't seem to matter. Team is for real.wildcats20;626336 wrote:Not if they lose to the Johnnies on Saturday. Which, I think they might.

wildcats20The next 2 weeks will really be telling for the Johnnies.
But the one sure thing is Lavin has them going in the right direction. The Garden was really rocking the other night -
athlete37It might depend on whether Carleton Scott is back or not, but the Irish still should be favored at home against the Johnnies. I am worried about traveling to the garden the following weekend though
