Jim Foster!!!You can't recruit, loser.

Be NiceLook at the Lady Buckeyes. Pathetic!!! Losing 3 in a row now. Sammy? What an OVERATED player with anger management issues. Talk about a hotdog? Jantell? Great hopps. I once saw her jump 3 inches high. Mind you, just once. With her size and big ass she should dominate every game. Sarah Schultz? Lauren Prochaska totally shut her down their senior year tournament time. Lauren totally dominated her which brings me to why I started this thread. Lauren, the current MAC Player of the Year, is now on the watch list for the James A. Naismith and John R. Wooden national player of the year award. Congrats Lauren. This is the same Lauren Prochaska that Jim Foster came and watched a total of 6 minutes one game her senior year of high school and then left the gym. The same game that she scored 59 points and set out all, but 2 minutes of the 4th quarter. In today's Columbus Dispatch you'll see where this same player is now the all time national leader in consecutive free throws made at 70. Foster, you're a dumbass. You let one of the best get away. Great job, asswipe.

mallymal614I don't think he is a horrible recruiter. He has had some good players come through the program and on paper Ohio State is probably a top 10-15 team talent wise. His X's and O's is his biggest flaw imo.

karen lotzThat could be the best gif of all time.
-
Ironman92Pretty funny stuff!
Prochaska did neverything she needed to do and more in high school to be a Lady Buckeye. I know it was a different time...but Prochaska was better than Marlene Stolllings and played in a 10X more difficult conference......but Stollings and her 43 ppg made it to OSU....for 2 years before transferring and having a good good couple of seasons at OU. -
Mr. RussellFoster, douche.
-
Be NiceMad...lol no. Just telling the truth. She could have really helped this team, but Lauren is just fine where she is. Foster probably doesn't know how much she's going to prove him wrong. IMO his recruiting skills are lacking. There are some serious chemistry problems with this OSU team. Lauren is a leader. This OSU team is totally lost and doesn't have a leader.
-
darbypitcher22^^^^^
do you have a secret crush on Prochaska?
Look, I'm not sure how much she could have helped this team. If its not Prahalis or Lavender, they've got nobody else who can pick up the load and do anything offensively. They play timid and scared, and as evident in the UConn game, are not mentally tough -
Be Nice^^^no crush. lol I'm old enough to be her dad. I've known the family since Lauren was about 4 or 5. I asked Lauren this past summer what she wanted to do after she graduates and she finally admitted it's to play in the WNBA. She's on her way.
-
bogeyHaving coached girls basketball at numerous levels, including high school varsity and small college, I too think Lauren would have been a great addition to the Buckeye program. I saw her play in the state championships when she was in school and thought she had a great skill set to go along with a great basketball build. Foster needs to recruit Ohio better, we have some of, if not the best overall girls basketball in the nation.
-
Be Nice^^^very well said. And here's what Foster also didn't get. I only missed 3 games of Lauren's HS career. It was a full house home and away her senior year. Many and I do say many from central Ohio especially the Plain City area would have followed her career at Ohio State. In other words many more would be attending the OSU home games. More revenue for OSU. Lost money now. She had a big following. Now many of us take that followinig to BGSU.
-
bogeyBy the way Be Nice, that is awesome to hear that Lauren would like to take the next step and play in the WNBA....I think that would be awesome!!! You make a good point about the attendance that she would have brought along with her play. As sad as it is, one only needs to turn on a "major college" girls basketball game and check out the stands to see how much that would help. I have been amazed that many high school teams get better attendance, I know my varsity team had a much better crowd and home court advantage than the college team that I coached!

Hb31187are you related to Prochaska or something? you've brought this point up like 20 times , we get it you dont like foster and think Prochaska is a god.
-
Y-Town SteelhoundI will disagree hard with calling Sammy P overrated. She may be the best fast-break point guard in the nation. Not her fault Foster doesn't know how to coach a scheme.

No, not related. We've known Dave, Sue, Lauren and her brothers for over 18 years. What still pisses me off is when Foster came and watched her for only 6 minutes. That showed no class and disrespect. And she has never forgot it! When he walked in their was a buzz. When he walked out so soon people were like... screw you too. He missed a 59 point performance that day from LPro. His loss big time. -

Fast breaks that mostly lead to turn overs. She will never be up for the Naismith or Wooden award. However, if there was a "hotdog of the year" award she wins hands down. -
vball10setnot so sure you should have posted her parents' names, but what's done is done...btw, maybe it's a blessing that she wasn't recruited to play for OSU, since I have to believe that her parents wouldn't have wanted her playing for such an asshole, and I don't think Lauren would have either--so it's all good!!!
-
wkfanNot trying to bash Prochaska at all...I don't know her or care anything about women's basketball, really. However, maybe there is a reason that Foster didn't recruit her....after all, she is at Bowling Green.
If she was that good and her game would translate from small town to big time, she would be in a better program.
Shoot me down all you want, I could not care less and have no horse in this race....just stating my opinion. -

I'm pretty sure you can get their names from BG's websitevball10set;637275 wrote:not so sure you should have posted her parents' names, but what's done is done...btw, maybe it's a blessing that she wasn't recruited to play for OSU, since I have to believe that her parents wouldn't have wanted her playing for such an asshole, and I don't think Lauren would have either--so it's all good!!!
I can understand why some people might not have been sold on her coming from a smaller school, but she is having a great career at BG so far.wkfan;637287 wrote:Not trying to bash Prochaska at all...I don't know her or care anything about women's basketball, really. I'm sure you can, but that wasn't my point..and for the record, IMO, BG is one of the best mid-major girls bball programs in the country, so she's getting to play at a high level program as it is. -
Be Nice
She was good enough. He just wanted the big center to be the star. Hey, everybody has opinions. No biggie. I just can't stand Foster. As mentioned he is an asshole.wkfan;637287 wrote:Not trying to bash Prochaska at all...I don't know her or care anything about women's basketball, really. I mean no disrespect to BG, but who do you think would win if they played OSU? -
Midstate01Lost again tonight. To NW. Wow

Right now?
I'm not so sure.
Foster has lost this team. Remember, this is the same starting five who won the Big Ten title last year.
