Texas Bowl: Illinois vs Baylor

  • gorocks99
Early going, Baylor was driving on the Illini before Griffin fumbled and Illinois flipped the field on them. I'm expecting a lot of scoring in this one.

6-0 after a pair of Illini field goals. They have to be a little disappointed they couldn't turn one of those drives into a TD.

You mean the Illi that lost to Fresno St. to end the regular season?
    I see a close game.

And the same Fresno State that had its ass handed to them by Northern Illinois too.

    Baylor looks terrible offensively.

Baylor can't stop Illinois right now.

16-0 with 9 minutes to play in the half.
  • Tiger2003
Illinois defense is looking strong tonight.

Nope. Flipping channels. I've seen 3 possessions now... Baylor getting nowhere twice, and then losing 15 yards and getting picked off just now.

Scheelhause is going to be an awesome qb for Illini if he stays healthy.
Baylor has had some chances but they can't connect but they will soon and it'll take more than 16 to win this game. Go Illini!!

Yeah. Definitely Illi best defensive showing so far this year. Their dline is just dominating. This defense has been a no-show for the 2nd half of the year.

    Ok, this is now domination.
Looks like I was wrong on this one hahaha.

Baylor just scored. Here comes the typical Ron Zook choke again.

If anyone partook in a drinking game involving how many times ESPN's breaking news shows "Favre fined 50k" -- You would be a dead man. I honestly think it's been shown over 100 times.. maybe nearing 200 times..

    WTF

Let's see if the Zookster can choke this one away.

Yeah, annoying as hell. We get it, thanks.

Haha I love seeing Baylor trying to act hard.

You're Baylor. You're down 24-7. This is your first bowl game in like 50 years. Just shut up and play.

Yeah! And Minnesota beat Illinois, so just think about how well Minnesota can party on New Year's Eve!

    I love analogies.

How the fuck do you let that dude run right down the middle of the field? On a 4th and long, especially.

Also, Griese just drew a penis with a set of balls on the telescreen, haha. Circling both safeties and illustrating the post route = male genitals.
  • ptown_trojans_1
4th and 14 39 yard TD pass by Baylor.
24-14. We maybe have a game now.

it was 4th and long and they had an LB on him

Right, but he also had the safety over top. The WR blew past the LB and and safety was still standing there playing with himself or something.

ESPN is the only thing in this world that keeps Favre relevant. It's getting quite old.
