Insight Bowl: Iowa 27, #12 Missouri 24
-
Cleveland BuckMarcus Coker with 218 yards rushing. Stanzi nearly choked it away, but the defense finally stepped up to win a close game for them. Gabbert played well, but Missouri's defense was manhandled. The only running game they saw like that this season is leaving for the Big Ten next year.

dwccrewGabbert that fuck. Cost me 150 bucks. What a bum. This is the beginning of a dominate bowl season for the Big Ten IMO.
-
SJBlueJay20Gabbert's bone headed interception cost Mizzou the game, so I wouldn't say he played too well.
-
dwccrewHow does he not throw that away? That will hurt his draft status. He was #2 QB on the board according to Todd McShay. He'll drop IMO after that boneheaded play.

I wondered if I saw that right... How's he the #2 qb???
Wisky would run for 500+ yards on that d. -

I'm not sure one poor interception will cause his standing in the draft that much, but then I'm hardly an expert at analyzing NFL quarterbacks.dwccrew;616555 wrote:How does he not throw that away? believerBig 10 now 1-0 in bowl games. Let's see if Illinois can knock off Baylor today.
-
LJthat final pass from Stanzi was totally a touchdown, they got robbed
-
royal_kThought so too, LJ

OneBuckeyeGood job Iowa!!!!

I don't know if I would call 225 yards rushing (total) manhandled. Obviously the run was working for Iowa but no more than Missouri's 434 yards passing. Missouri lost this game with the tipped INT at the end of the first half and the Hyde INT return later in the game.Cleveland Buck;616549 wrote:Marcus Coker with 218 yards rushing. OneBuckeyeIt boggles my mind that Stanzi is the #9 QB in the draft. He could out delhome delhome.

I thought so too. The ball looked across the plane the way he came down. However, I won't say they got robbed because the catch alone sealed the game. No touchdown needed. If that had not been at the end of the game or the touchdown was needed I think it would have been reviewed. -

Stanzi had a great year I don't know what you're talking about. -

You were manhandled if you are supposed to be one of the top rush defenses in the country and give up 225, just like Ohio State was manhandled when they gave up 184 on the ground to Wisconsin. -
Pick6Good win for the big 10. Mizzou smacked Oklahoma around earlier this year, and Iowa was without their leading rusher and schools all time leading receiver.
-
darbypitcher22it was probably the best game of bowl season so far

This.
I didn't see Iowa winning this game, but definitely good for the Big 10. -
stlouiedipalmaI'm enjoying this one, especially when tomorrow's St. Louis Post-Dispatch has all of the boo-hoo commentary that was too late to file for this morning's edition. I'm upset that Iowa allowed Gabbert to put up so many yards, though.
-
ytownfootballGood win for the Big 10, they definitely rallied the troops after failing miserably the last three games of the season and all the off the field shit. Stanzi at #9 really isn't all that surprising, it's not like there are a gang load of quality QB's available. His improvement from last year to this year has been at the least worthy of note.

vball10setGO BIG TEN...1-0 and counting
-
darbypitcher22I don't see Illinois being able to stop Baylor today

OneBuckeyeI don't see Baylor stoping Illinois either. I think a UM Illinois repeat is upon us. I hope.

gerb131Good work IOWA. Can't believe it took Ferentz 11 games to play Coker, Robinson or not.
