Tobias Funke--please accept my humble apology...

...for ever doubting your assessment that Terrelle Pryor is a piece of shit---selling your Big Ten championship ring and gold pants? that's inexcusable in my book
  • Tiernan
Beyond comprehension to sell the Gold Pants. Please go to the NFL doucher...you're not welcome at OSU any longer.

Sometimes you gotta take the scarlet colored glasses off and be rational. Luckily for me, I can usually do that and I have never been a fan of TP. When he said things like that "The University of Ohio State" and "everybody murders people" it told me everything that I needed to know
  • Tiernan
I hope the University presses charges for the stolen jerseys and helmets.
  • Tobias Fünke
haha vball you're a swell dude. it's all good.

Did I hear that he sold his sportsmanship award too? Oh the irony...

That'd be impressive on OSU's part but you know they won't. Didn't you hear? The players were remorseful and all that other garbage.

I kind of hope that TP does play in the bowl game so that OSU fans can boooooo the shit out of him.

I talk crap about OSU all the time usually just tongue in cheek. As a UC fan I definitely respect OSU and their program and hope that we can one day be on their level. We're pulling for OSU down in Cincy throughout this whole situation. TP is trash and I said from the first day I saw him play that he would never live up to the hype. I hope OSU can get past this quickly and return to business as usual.

^^AMEN. I hope Braxton Miller is a mensch, but I am sadly pretty convinced that Ohio State has a flawed program in terms of how much they put their football players on a pedestal. It's truthfully not even an Ohio State thing, it is a national disorder of "how much dick can we suck to get this stud to come here." It's freakin' bullshit. Any player in the country should consider it a rare honor to play for Ohio State and be humble about it! This is what happens when you have a slew of prima donna jackoffs dawning the scarlet and gray.

It's pretty simple, guys like Terrelle Pryor are treated as gods and think they can do anything. I hope this serves as a wake up call to hedonists like himself.

Also, the NCAA looks like a joke here. No suspension for the bowl game? Get that shit out of here. "Hey Billy, because you went out on Christmas eve and got busted drinking underage, I'm going to ground you....starting January 2. So enjoy this next week of fun first..."

that's the thing I don't think too many people will be

Love how everybody says it's "incomprehensible" to sell your Gold Pants, as if they're the ones who put in the blood, sweat, and tears, LMAO.

Championship rings and awards are sold all the time. It says nothing about how much they care about the school or their team. After saying that.....The way they did it was very stupid. I think the fans put more value on these things than players and coaches.
  • CinciX12
Why are gold pants worth more to OSU fans than Big 10 rings? All my OSU friends think the f'ing pants are more serious.

i guess this ends the 2011 pryor heisman talk

you earn gold pants for beating Michigan....

Would everyone be so mad if he'd only sold whatever it is they earn for losing to Purdue?

Haha yeah it probably does. I have to say I won't miss it.

It was becoming a yearly tradition. Buckeye fans getting suckered into anointing him as the Heisman front runner before finally realizing he still hasn't "broken through." Then, after he falls out of the race it becomes time to marginalize other teams QBs and insult them for playing in gimmick offenses

Probably not. But that's not what he did. I really hope you aren't trying to compare Michigan to Purdue. The Gold Pants thing is a big deal.

His loss though. Instead of having something to show his kids and grandkids years down the road, he has literally nothing to show for it. I hope the quick payday was worth it haha. $2,000 doesn't go as far as it used to.

Wonder where this incident fits in with the whole Vince Young comparison? Because for three years it was obvious he was going to break out....since Vince Young did.

I would have just liked to have had the material stuff if it was me personally to show off later in life... the rings and gold pants would have been sweet to display in my house somewhere

I knew that. I guess I just don't realize why that is more important than a Big Ten Championship to some Ohio State fans.

TP: 65.8% passing, 8.6 yard average, 25 TD, 11 INT
VY: 65.2% passing, 9.3 yard average, 26 TD, 10 INT

TP: 639 rushing yards, 5.3 ypc, 4 TD
VY: 1050 rushing yards, 6.8 ypc, 12 TD

I would say Pryor's numbers this year were pretty comparable to VYs junior season. Vince had better rushing stats (and I think he was definitely the more explosive runner), but he also played in a system much more conducive to a running QB.

I don't see how someone could claim Vince "broke out" and deny that Pryor did the same thing.

Ahh, the old "system" excuse rears it's ugly head again.

Feel free to explain how a zone read isn't more conducive to a running QB than a pro-style offense.

And I wasn't making an excuse for anything. If you don't think those numbers (outside of rushing TDs) are comparable then I'm not sure what else to say.

    Oh gawwwd.....

he's not fucking clark griswold, i don't really think in 50 years Pryor is gonna be sitting around a fire with his grandkids telling them stories about his football days and showing off gold fucking pants.

Even if he did, they could just look on the damn internet and see that he won them
