New Orleans Bowl: Ohio (8-4) vs. Troy (7-5)
-
WriterbuckeyeOops, my bad. Too tired when I looked at the schedule. Still, losing by 3 to Oklahoma State on the road shows you they have some talent, even if that talent didn't come together as a team all season.
It also doesn't negate the point that oversigning is a huge competitive advantage for SEC teams and others that use it, that nobody really talks about much. Now, ESPN did finally do an Outside The Lines segment on the human aspect of it this morning. How students are basically having to perform or be cut for someone else, and the human toll that can take on what are still basically kids. -

asshats, tell me who Meyer kicked to the curb on a bogus medical scholly ? Oversigning is also a by-product of players transferring(Newton) and going pro early.
This is a Troy-Ohio Bowl game thread, and you guys are showing your obsession issues making stupid claims bitching about nothing related to the thread. -

Oversigning is a product of the SEC treating the system as its bitch and focusing more on a "win at all costs" mentality rather than the integrity and the onus of the NCAA mission statement. Just because something isn't against the rules per se' doesn't make the practice a good one, for the perception of the conference, the players and the integrity of the sport it needs to stop. -

This is correct. It isn't a problem in the other major conferences. You do this in the ACC, you are probably getting an invitation to visit the Commish's office. It is definitely an SEC issue - Vanderbilt is the only school that refuses to engage in the practice. -

Although to be fair, Meyer did it long before he hit the SEC. -

LOL. I bet you did it with a popped collar too. I am also guessing that you refer to beer as "brews". You gotta love when somebody brags about being blackout drunk. -
SportsAndLadyYeah i'm totally bragging lol
I don't really wear collared shirts, let alone pop the collars...i dont call beers brews, but i'm not really sure what that even means? -
jordo212000You had to know you were going to get made fun of when you post something like that, right?
