You knew he would make an appearance. haha. The things Hancock says to defend the BCS only emboldens me. He is such a joke. Just tell us the real reason why there isn't a playoff. He drives me crazy when he says illogical garbage and expects us to take it at face value. -

You already see this principle for bowl games. Why is it common knowledge that any time OSU is eligible for a BCS bowl they are going to get a bid, even if there are other teams who are "better"?Because they draw. With a playoff, you aren't certain that the best teams are also the best draws and that isn't going to be good for business.
This is reality and it is sickening. -

I know it seems like I'm all pro-BCS and whatever, but I absolutely agree with you on this. I know they can't just come right out and say it is all about money (the tax-exempt status would be at risk), but some of the covers for it are ludicrous. -

...maybe because there isn't a need for one. I'm not even sure there's a need for the National Championship game. College football can still lend to the extension of the Universities without crowning a definitive National Championship.jordo212000;604142 wrote:... Yeah, lets just give everyone ribbons and ice cream and make sure all the players get to play. To hell with winning anything.Con_Alma;604219 wrote:...maybe because there isn't a need for one. haha ok. I'm guessing the odds that a playoff will happen are certainly a little higher than the odds that we go back to a system where there is no "championship" game. Everybody involved has seen the money that can be had. -
Con_AlmaI don't think there wont come a time when there's not a NC game.
Winning is important in College Football. There are plenty of opportunities to do just that already.
