I hope this is a joke, but in case you actually saw this somewhere this isn't even possible. The NCAA already denied ASU's waiver to play in a bowl (they played 2 1-AA schools, so they only have 5 wins that count toward bowl eligibility). If they would ever remove a team from a bowl - which would never happen in my opinion - they would have to go for one of the two teams that are actually eligible, Western Michigan or Temple.Little Danny;600311 wrote:There's a strong rumor out there they will not be playing in their bowl game and that Arizona State will fill their spot. -
Fab1bLots of rumors on the hawkeye message boards. This could get very interesting.

You serious? First off I don't know what their message boards are. Secondly, I read this message board and you make such a generic comment and then refer people elsewhere. Pretty lame. -

Sounds like thuggery to me, and they know it. They just can't prove it 'cause they're from Iowa and dumb.Iowa admitted to finding "flaws and inconsistencies" in its student-athlete drug-testing program in the wake of last week's drug-related arrest of wide receiver Derrell Johnson-Koulianos, but the school isn't penalizing any more football players at this time.
Athletic director Gary Barta said Tuesday that the school reviewed its testing program after Johnson-Koulianos' arrest and found "pretty strong evidence" that student-athletes likely have found ways to get around the tests. Iowa conducted its regular testing last week and has found no specific instances of wrongdoing. -

Although the drugs are different, it reminds me of the player on steroids from The Program.gorocks99;600793 wrote:http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5919292

Big Gain#1 lesson to be learned here. If you are planning on commiting a crime, throw your cell phone off the nearest bridge.

Yes, as selling some gear is on the same level as a drug ring.
