After his rant about domination, this doesn't bother me. I honestly hope that it helps him shut his mouth and work his tail off in the offseason, to try and prove all his doubters wrong.
I don't have a problem with the guy, but I'd like to see him keep quiet with those sorts of comments. -
BigAppleBuckeyeI am ok with this, I happen to think Robinson is an exciting player.
I am curious though: can someone pull up Pryor's Big 10-only stats vs. Robinson's Big 10-only stats, where they faced similar competition? Not saying anything at all about either school's pre-conference schedules, just am curious about that comparison. -
vball10setI personally think it should have went to Watt or Kerrigan--frickin' beasts, both of them!!!
-
TiernanThis is ridiculous...A proven big time winner passed over for a novelty act who beat absolutey not one team of quality. Joke of an award.

Thought this sounded interesting - I'll do a quick comparison vs. common opponents in a minute, too. Here are the Big Ten only numbers for both:
Name Com-Att-YDS-TD-I C% Rating..............C-YDS Avg TD
Pryor 125-191-1612-15-9 65.5% 152.83........77-370 4.8 1
Robinson 98-170-1585-12-9 57.7% 148.67....166-955 5.8 8 -
rock_knutneRobinson is the first college QB to rush and throw for 1,500 yards, no surprise IMO.
-
enigmaaxThey had 6 Big Ten opponents in common; comparison:
Name Com-Att-YDS-TD-I C% Rating..............C-YDS Avg TD
Pryor 89-142-1170-11-7 62.68% 147.59........60-266 4.4 0
Robinson 73-123-1283-11-6 59.35% 166.73....127-764 6.0 7
Significant difference in passer rating from all Big Ten games to just the common games. Ohio State faced Minnesota and Michigan defenses while Michigan faced Michigan State and Ohio State as their uncommon conference opponents. -
jordo212000I don't have a problem with either of them winning. Both had great seasons

No surprise - cuz you have proven time and time again you don't know shit about CFB.rock_knutne;595256 wrote:Robinson is the first college QB to rush and throw for 1,500 yards, no surprise IMO. -

That is the stipulation for the award.the winner of the 2010 Silver Football, which annually goes to the top player in the Big Ten.
Terrelle Pryor was NOT that player this year. And it wasn't even close.
And I agree with vball. Watt is nasty. And I think gets overlooked because he doesn't play a skill position. -

He gets the ball snapped to him and can call his own number if he wants........players like this are stat stuffers and their teams suffer big time.
Denard didn't play defense dude, relax. -

Great work enigmaxx! Thanks for taking the time to do this, very interesting indeed. -

Sometimes I can't tell if you are borderline retarded or just like to troll. -

I would say given your first post on this topic and the Big 10 only numbers posted after, you don't shit about CFB. -

Look at the numbers vs common opponents dipshit -
TiernanStats Rats will always compensate for their lack of manhood (ie...WINS) by siting numbers. Robinson is another in a long line of small scat-back type QBs who make a little college noise and end up as a "Where are they now?" question in 5 years. Not saying Pryor should have neccessarily won this award either, but to give it to this punk is a slap in the face to every strating player on the OSU, WIS and MSU rosters any of who are more deserving. Sickening that PC / BS has gone this far.
-
Hb31187Winning games in college doesnt make you a great QB ask David Greene and Ken Dorsey. Robinson had one of the best years ever for a dual threat QB and is the first one of these "scat back" Qb's to rush for 1500 yards, you know damn well he's not a dime a dozen talent like you make him out to be. Its not the best player on the best team award, its best player in the big 10 period. Even die hard OSU fans (except maybe you and sleeper) would agree that its not exactly a shock that Robinson got this award after the season and numbers he put up. And if Robinson is in the "where is he now" discussion in 5 years, im sure Pryor will be right next to him on that list.

AutomatikI'm not surprised at all that he got it. He literally was the ENTIRE UM offense.
I still think they need to have a few capable running backs for him to survive. Any worthwhile recruits coming in? -

More than likely yes. Find me a quote somewhere when I said Cam Newton would be a good NFL Qb. This thread is about Big 10 players, dipshit -
