The Big 10 vs. The SEC

  • bigkahuna
I was bored the morning of the Michigan OSU Game and posted this information of the gimmicky offense thread. I am sick of hearing Big 10 Homers (MOSTLY OSU Fans-not all) and SEC Fans thumping their chest about the dominance over the other. The Big 10 disregards OSU vs. the SEC, and the SEC ONLY looks at OSU's record. Here is the results from the 2 conferences since the BCS started in the 1998-99 Season.

    Indiana 2-6 All vs. Kentucky

    Illinois 0-1 vs. LSU

    Iowa 3-1 W-SC LSU FLA. L-FLA

Michigan 6-1 W-2FLA, Bama, Auburn, Vandy, Arkansas L-Tennessee

    Michigan State 1-1 W-FLA L-UGA

    OSU 0-4 LSU, FLA, 2SC

Penn State 3-2 W-LSU, Kentucky, Tennessee L-Bama, Auburn

    Minnesota 2-0 Bama, Arkansas

    Northwestern 1-1 W-Vandy L-Auburn

    Wisconsin 2-3 W-Tennessee, Bama L-Bama, UGA, Arkansas

So the Big 10 is 20-20 Since 1998 Including Regual Season and Bowl Games

    Interesting notes
-Michigan and Minnesota have dominated the SEC (You're welcome)

    -OSU-Come'on man

-Our record would be better if Kentucky didn't own Indiana in the Rivalry Game they have.

    No need to thank me.

Yeah... we get it. The SEC has beat us in year's past. How does that have any bearing on this season?

You can thank Ohio State for majority of the BCS wins in the Big 10 and the lone BCS title. I'll take overall results than just beating a conference. You're welcome.

I wasn't trying to point out OSU's loses to the SEC.

I frequent a few boards. They all (This one included) say the same thing "SEC Dominates Big 10" or "Big 10 Dominates SEC." Well, not really, they are on par with each other.

I know they for the NC Game that Oregon was not just going up against the Auburn Tigers, but the entire SEC." One of my favorite responses somewhere else was SEC owns OSU=SEC owns Big 10=MSU dominates Michigan.

It's just getting old, and I decided to repost for some of the haters on either side.

    Could've fooled me....

Meet sarcasm. If I was trying to I would have made the same comment about OSU that I did for Indiana. Yea they've lost to the SEC in 2 NC Games, but those are NC games. If there is anything that could be considered a quality loss, it would be OSU's NC games. Take the shield down.

Unforunately even the rest of the SEC doesn't count Arky-saw as paet of their conference...so we will never get full credit for whipping their ass.
