Auburn vs. USCe and Oregon vs. Oregon St.

Who will win these games, and if one of the big 2 lose, will they get jumped by TCU.
It doesnt matter what either score is until the 4th quarter. Auburn and Oregon turn up the octane in the 4th and are great on comebacks.

    Right now Aub/USCe 7-7
    Oregon 16 Ore St 7

Auburn and Oregon appear to have this in the bag.

Setting up for a national title game with some serious firepower.

Unfortunately, the BCS will look perfect with this scenario. Two unbeaten teams from two power conferences matching up in the title and no other automatic qualifiers still unbeaten.

Do any SEC teams play defense? How does a guy get that wide open when yo have already given up 14 in the 1st qtr.

But a preseason #6 team will go unbeaten and get left out.

Regardless of what conference they're in, I think saying the BCS looks 'perfect' with the current outcome is a stretch.

Auburn has an average defense. However, nobody has really been able to stop their offense when it has mattered. The same goes for Oregon. It just shows you that with these offenses you can still win a title without a great defense.

Perfect in their minds. They could care less if a non-AQ starts at the top and doesn't get in. If they finish unbeaten but behind 2 non-AQ's, they have a 0% chance of playing for a title.

Had Auburn and/or Oregon lost today, it would make the decision on the national title teams a tough one and make some sort of alternative playoff or +1 system look more appealing. With these results, the pressure is somewhat off for this year.

Oregon looks unimpressive to me. If Auburn and Oregon both go to the NC game, I like Auburn's odds.

Oregon State is so stupid. Give up that huge run off a fake punt. And you just blitzed 3 times in a row, you really think Oregon isn't going to throw a screen eventually, especially on a 3rd down?

Oregon and Auburn will both win blowouts.

    That was a rocket, and LOL @ SC's Db's
  • vball10set
#5 db Gilmour (?) for SC should have his scholly rescinded immediately--he's been burnt at least 5 times for long gains or TD's--pathetic

If you lose a football throwing contest to a girl launching chest passes you might as well sever your own testicles, because you aren't a man.

I just hate Oregon so much. I'd love to see OSU pull it out here in the 4th...but that won't happen because Ryan Katz always finds a way to stall the offense.

I think they're sweet. Not a lot to them but they have a pretty classic, yet edgy look.

No kidding. He threw the flag because LaMichael James immeadiately started bitching.

Oregon State is losing this game because their coach is doing his best Jim Tressel impression. When you get into the redzone you don't settle for fucking FG's, especially when you're playing Oregon who runs their stupid video game offense.

So why isn't that a 15 yard penalty?

Because it's not Ohio State doing it.

Well this is the 4th time I've watched Oregon this season (Stanford, USC, Cal, and now OSU) and while their offense can certainly be prolific, I think they are well on their way to being shalacked in the NC game. They lack physicality on both sides of the ball and I think a team like Auburn will have their way with them.

That's what I think. Their schedule did not prepare them for a team of Auburn's caliber.

Definitely not, I agree. I think it will be similiar to the OSU-Oregon Rose Bowl last year, with the exception that Auburn will put up more offense than OSU did.

It's sad though, Auburn isn't anything special either. Take away Cam "Should-be-ineligible" Newton and they're mediocre.
  • charliehustle14
    SC's kicker misses another.

Christ, has there been some terrible special teams in all of college football this year or what?

True, but they have pretty good line play on both sides of the ball and they've been conditioned against some great competition this year. Plus it helps when Cam Newton has played out of his mind all year long (although him being eligible is a head scracther)
  • Cleveland Buck
Oregon will score on Auburn, but they have no chance of stopping Newton. It will be along the lines of 52-31 Auburn.
