UCLA Just Got Royally Screwed

  • wildcats20
The Bruins just tied it up with a few seconds left and then come down and Kansas is out of control. Ref calls a foul with .7 left. YOU DO NOT CALL THAT FOUL EVER

    HOMERED

Makes the first. Jay Hawks up 1.

haha...I agree, but Fran Fraschilla does not. Is he serious with this stuff?

That is a fucking joke. I am sorry.

They should be playing 5 more minutes right now.

Oh and Oregon/Mizzou is on FSN.

But it's not the new court. I think they may have nixed that idea....

I doubt this had anything to do with the fact that the game was in Allen Field House. It was clearly an invalid stroke of play by the UCLA player. In fact, he basically soiled the Jayhawk player. Five more minutes would have been a disservice to the 66-game winning spell.

Thanks for the heads up, wildcats. I almost forgot about the Thursday FSN game. However, the new court design will not come until the Ducks move into the new arena after the New Year. They are playing on Mac Court tonight, which, I believe is the oldest basketball gym in the country. Perhaps Harvard has an older gymnasium, but I'm not sure.

    Oooooooh...

I didn't realize they had/were building a new arena. Good deal.

I like the fact that the announcers of the Missouri at Oregon Fox Sports Net Pac 10 game have spent the last four minutes talking about Duke. :D

    lol

    This game is sooooooooo boring.

You got that right. Haha I might have thanked you a few minutes ago for reminding of this contest, but I'm now watching dvds of House.

Ok, ok, we're back. 49-41 after a deep Duck three.

    Haha I'm an addict.
  • Prescott
All of the Bluebloods get calls at home. That is just the way it works.

I'm one of those that believe a foul should be called, regardless of time or score. The UCLA player committed a foul and it should be called.

Yeah, technically it was a foul. However, there are worse infractions that are let go during the course of a game. This was minimal contact as the KU player was clearly out of control with less than a second to go in the game. I know that a foul is a foul, but making that call at that point in the game is kind of rough for UCLA. It wasn't like the guy was going up for a lay-up and was fouled...there was slight contact as he was lunging for the basketball in traffic. I just think swallowing the whistle would have been the best thing to do, but the ref made the call that he thought was correct, and that's how it goes.

Im still not sure it was even a foul. Though I have only seen the game camera version, and not one of the replay cameras. So the view is a bit distanced.
