UConn into the top 10!!?? Thats comical to be honest. Yes, to big wins. But going from unranked into the top 10 is pretty unreal. And I'll say it right now...they will be a bubble team at best when its all said and done.

What was Minnesota to start the season?

I agree with CBF, UCONN will be on the bubble at the end.

I actually would tend to agree with this. I really liked what I saw from the UConn Kemba Walkers out if Maui, just don't think they will be able to sustain it all year.

I agree them at 7 is just crazy sure they had two huge win but jumping 29 spots is something I don't think I've ever seen before. Although its not anything crazy it was a little odd seeing Duke as the only team in the ACC in the top 25. Kinda made me start to think when they last time that happened(Im sure its more recent then I would guess).

It's nice to see the Irish on the top 25 again. I think they will surprise a lot of people this year

Sorry, I copied and pasted it and didn't realize it would do that because it looked fine when I pasted it in. I must have been editing it while you were posting.

Why don't they deserve to be in the top 10 right now? We're only two weeks into the season and the preseason polls are just an estimation, they aren't really based on much, so this early in the year where you were ranked last week doesn't really mean anything. Besides, they are undefeated and they beat two top 10 teams last week. Right now they have a more impressive resume than anyone. They very likely may be a bubble team by the end of the year, but what does that matter now? They have earned the right to be in the top 10 at this point. They are probably more deserving to be there right now than anyone else is.

Ball State went from not even receiving votes to top 10 a few years back. Of course they beat #3, #2, and lost to #1 I think. That was an insane run in the Maui.

As for UCONN...whats the problem? I dont think Ive ever seen the polls reflect solely what the end result of the season is going to be (minus pre-season), but rather a result of what has happened thus far mixed with what you see in a team. UCONN has 2 of the better wins in the country, and won what was the most difficult pre-season tourney in Maui.

I have no problem with UCONN in the top 10. It's part of the reason I take preseason polls with a grain of salt.

UCONN beat and dominated 2 top 10 teams.

If this were college football, polls would matter. But for the most part in college bball, if you handle your business you'll make the tourny and thats all that really matters
