Is Sanzenbacher the 2010 OSU MVP?
-
TiernanWhile most of the media hype is centered on Terrelle, is Sanzy really the OSU MVP? Time and time again his acrobatic catches have kept drives alive when they are most desperately needed. He earns it in my book.
-
vball10setI'd have to agree...his ability to come up with a big play when the team needs it the most, as well as being a model of consistency, wins him my vote----plus he's from T-Town, baby!!!
-
FatHobbitHe just keeps making plays!

Tiny285JoeySanzo will be missed, and is a great receiver, but how many of the plays made, are made with Bauserman at QB? I think it's still Terrelle as the offensive MVP.

Pick6TP is the MVP. Not even debatable.

I love DS, but this is the truth. We all saw how good Bauserman is when TP went out earlier for a little while... -

None, because usually when Bauserman comes in so do the rest of the backups. Besides, Bauserman can barely get the ball to the receivers anyway.
I think that you could make a strong case for Sanzenbacher because he has made some huge plays and has been extremely consistent all season, and has just done whatever needed to be done. However, Pryor is the MVP (and I'm not even a big TP fan). He's made some mistakes this year, but he's also done enough for this team to win (he played like crap at Wisconsin, but the kickoff return and poor defense contributed to that loss as much as his poor performance did). He's also come up with huge plays when he needed to (like the run one 4th and 10 at Iowa and the throw after the scramble along the sidelines for a first down against Michigan). Pryor is the MVP, but Sanz is a very close second.
Also, in the last three games of the year Herron was the MVP with some HUGE performances. -
Scarlet_BuckeyeHe certainly has made a strong case for MVP this season.

Tigerfan001. TP
2. Sanz
3. Boom
That backfield will be scary next year with Pryor taking off at times then Herron and Berry along with Hall getting carries should be pretty damn good. -

And we'll need to be good running the ball next year because I think we'll be a bit thin at receiver. Our receiving core wasn't very good this year. We didn't have a real #3 guy. Sanzenbacher and Washington are both seniors. So Posey and Brown (who dropped the ball 48 times times this season) are really the only receivers we have coming back. Also Saine is a senior and he became the real #3 guy late this year. We do have Stoneburner and Fragel coming back at TE and Boren will be back at fullback, but it seems like every year we expect them to throw to the TE and FB more and it never happens. So Posey will be our #1 guy and it appears that Corey Brown will be the #2 receiver next year. Obviously it would be a huge help is Carter came back but that isn't guaranteed right now. He would give us a legitimate #2 receiver. I just feel like this team is going to need some guys to really step up or we'll struggle passing the ball next season. -
Tigerfan00Posey, Brown and Chris Fields will be the top 3 receivers next year which isnt bad along with Stoneburner who catches damn near everything. I really want to see what Berry can do next year.

I think that Hall will be able to contribute as a receiver next year as well. There's not much experience there. Posey will be a senior who drops way more passes than he should (like the wide open TD at Iowa). You then have two sophomores and a junior tight end. That's shaky at best. This is why we'll need to rely on the running game more and why I hope Duron Carter comes back. -

TiernanCalled It!
The guys in the locker room with you always know who the true MVPs on the team are. While TP had a great year, he still hasn't evolved into that field general / leader type like Kern, Greene, Schlichter or Krenzel had by their Jr. season. But I think he will put on a show in the Sugar Bowl and set the stage for a great Sr. Year.
