Cleveland BuckAuburn would be #1 in the computers even with a loss to South Carolina.

I would love to play an SEC team and finally get that monkey off the back of the Buckeyes. -
Cleveland BuckThe Buckeyes had better figure out how to stop the run if they want to beat Arkansas.
-
jordo212000I would much rather play Arkansas than LSU. Especially since the game will be in New Orleans.
Juicy subplot too. Michigan transfer Mallett is the qb. That will be pounded into our heads for the next month or so -

NOBODY in the country has a running game like Wisky. Even including the Wisky game OSU gave up on average 94.33 ypg on the ground -

Odd, I thought that was their strength? The secondary and Mallett is potentially what I'm worried about. The Michigan WRs and TEs were open most of the game. Chikwa has played like crap the last few weeks. He has been schooled several times. -

Ohio State has given up 133.2 yard rushing per game against BCS conference teams with winning records, which is what Arkansas is. -

The pass defense is actually better than the run defense when we play good teams. -

Ok, just because someone with your vast knowledge of the game told me to. -

Yes, I know. Most of those throws were awful, and the OSU dline played well enough to hurry throws. Plus, Michigan did not have a kicker.
Still, the secondary is the weakest part of the team. Michigan got some yards though the air. I could see Arkansas moving the ball through the air, but not the ground. -

So they are still a top 30 team in rushing D, having played the #11 #12 #13 and #26 rushing teams in the country.
Arkansas is #62. -

Badgers are 11th in rushing yards per game and 12th in total rushing yards in the nation. -

I am talking style of play. Wisky completely relies on their running game. Sure Tolzien CAN sling the rock, but they set out to pound it down your throat. -

Different Ryan Mallett. That would make sense if he played Big Ten defenses this year, but he hasn't. If anything, since I;d say, and most would say, that overall SEC defenses are better than the Big Ten defenses, that Mallett could handle the Big Ten.
Just saying, but of course, we'll have to wait and see if the two teams play and how Mallett would do. -

Maybe its ARk who better worry about OSU offense. Auburn laid 65 freaking points on them. And if a SHIT offense like LSU can get 23pts, OSU can score 30+. Arkansas will score some points. But I don't think they can stop OSU offense. -

Depends on which OSU offense shows up. If it is the OSU offense of the 1st quarter of the Michigan game, it could be a problem. If it is the OSU offense of the 2nd, and 4th quarters, then it will be easy. -
buckeyes_wooweeHow is Arkansas a lock for the Sugar? If South Carolina wins the SEC they will get the berth.
What confuses me is why the hell does the Big Ten get no respect in the computer rankings? -

Obviously not set in stone until after the SEC championship. I think the poster who said this/Brad Edwards were kind of implying that Auburn was probably not going to lose to South Carolina. They could... but it doesn't seem likely. So yeah, you are correct, if South Carolina wins the SEC title, then we will be seeing them get the Sugar Bowl berth -

The assumption is that Auburn will beat S. Carolina, at which point the Sugar Bowl can take whoever they want that is eligible since Auburn will go to the NC. They will most likely stick to the SEC and take the next highest ranked SEC team in Arkansas. -
sleeperOhio State against Arkansas? Easy win for the Buckeyes.

I have to disagree with you. Usually the SEC is known for their defense but defense has been down for the SEC this year but the offenses have been improved. -

Either that or they kept dropping them (Roundtree dropped 5-6 passes) or the QB's couldn't get the ball to the open WR's. There was plenty of open receivers for Michigan, fortunately for Ohio State, the receivers either dropped the pass or Robinson/Forcier couldn't deliver the ball.
This is something that Arkansas will do less of (dropping passes or throwing incomplete passes). -
pinstriperOSU will be in for a dogfight if they play ARK. The biggest worry OSU fans should have is being outcoached/out schemed by Petrino. This ARK team feels as though they can beat anyone in the country right now, they are very confident and very hot. The running numbers are skewed for the season because the emergance of Knile Davis as the lone back didn't occur until 5 or 6 games ago...since then he's thrashing defenses left and right. The O-Line is big, and they're physical. They've been together all year, no injuries, and are jelling now. Mallet ha sa tendancy to make some mistakes, which OSU needs to capitalize on with picks or else it could be a loooong day for the Buckeyes. The WRs for ARK are just plain good. Their TE is top 3 in the country, and they have a guy named Joe Adams who is a Reggie Bush clone. They lost Greg Childs to injury a few weeks back (he's a top 5 WR in the country), so that helps a little.
As far as ARK defense, they're susceptible to the pass and big plays. They come at the QB like wild dogs, and sometimes over pursue alittle. However, if they get a lead, the DC opens it up and lets the dogs eat - blitz, blitz, blitz.
It will be a great match-up of an under-rated OSU offense versus an under-rated ARK defense...and an over-rated OSU defense and an over-rated (at times) ARK offense. -
dlazzArkansas would match up well with OSU. I'd favor OSU more over Auburn than I would Arkansas.
Also, if South Carolina were to win, wouldn't the BCS bid go to the highest-ranked SEC team? -

No the SEC Champion normally always goes to the Sugar Bowl.
