Yeah, but the point is, if they are playing in the WAC... then they don't get to keep that cushy OOC schedule. They have to play "up" OOC because that is what you do in a terrible conference. Either way they are still a 4-5 win team IMO (they'll suck in the Big 10, beat some cupcakes OR win some league games in the WAC against worse teams and then lose the four OOC games outside of the WAC)

By the way, I really respect you and your opinions on college football, enigmaax (seriously). But I think I have narrowed down your identity to either Jim Delany or Bill Hancock. :)

Well, we'll never know for sure, but considering San Jose has one win also, not sure why thats such a tough one (yeah, I know they played Wisconsin fairly close). Fresno and Hawaii also lost to two bottom feeders from BCS conferences (Mississippi and Colorado), so you're talking about a team that can't beat a single BCS school winning somewhere between 6-10 games against a Boise type schedule. Perspective?

Ha ha. I thought we weren't allowed to reveal people's identities around here. BCS rulz!

Right there you can pretty much count them as being at least .500 in that conference and that is the point. If they played the same non-conference schedule as they play now, thats an 8-win season. So, basically you've just given Boise an 8-0 head start on the rest of the country because even the WORST BCS teams could do the same thing.

No those teams are no where near the bottom of the pack in the WAC. If you put Western Kentucky, Townsond and Akron in the MAC they would each go 0-12 and get beaten badly in every game. Those programs are atrocious and Indiana barley beat WKU and Arkansas State.

Indiana= a lower WAC team, they would get blown out by Boise, Nevada, Hawaii and Fresno.

Puh-lease. There's not much difference at all. New Mexico State was blown out by Kansas, who lost to an FCS school. Even bad teams have good days. Ultimately, they're all a big pile of crap and in the long run - look up the records - those BCS conference bottom dwellers are still going to win about 80% of their games against non-BCS schools.

San Jose State is 1-10. Their win was 16-11 against Southern Utah.

At least San Jose State beat their FCS school unlike Akron. Indiana played the weakest non conference schedule out of anyone in a BCS conference. Akron and Western Kentucky would not win a single game in the WAC. Not one.

The bottom line schools like Indiana win 80% of those games because they play the lower FCS schools and Sunbelt and MAC teams that are awful. Funny you don't see Indiana playing anyone. Just glad they didn't get 2 lucky Big 10 wins and actually make a bowl playing awful teams.

Point? I mean, you are showing one season. But okay, I overestimated at 80%...it is actually 70%, still a ridiculous majority that could drastically change the perception of the school/team if it was a fulltime schedule.

My point is was that I was bored at work and you gave me something to do. ;)
