What BCS bowl game can Ohio State play...

OSU vs. Va. Tech in the Orange Bowl
OSU vs. Alabama in the Capital One Bowl
Actually, most are predicting Sugar Bowl first, then Orange if not Sugar. Obviously if they lose to UM, then it could be the Cap One. I really don't want to play VT. OSU has nothing to gain in that game. No win situation. Definanately want to play an SEC team. -

the criteria is the same for all automatic qualifiers . win your conference and your in. it looks like pitt win its conference . the buckeyes , thats another story. the bottom line here is pitt like OSU will play in a bowl game that is as meaningful as the alamo bowl. there is only one BCS BOWL THAT MEANS ANYTHING. and OSU wont be playing in that one. -

If you don't think going to and playing in a BCS bowl game isn't meaningful to the players, fans, recruiting, program and conference, then your just flat out clueless to be honest. -

Lol...news flash Einstein...there's 117 other teams that won't be either. Fact is though there are @ 105 that would gladly trade places with The Ohio State University and rep their U in a BCS bowl game.
But ...yeah thanks for your display on the obvious

TiernanIs OSU the only team to have won at least one game in all 4 BCS Bowl locations? I'm thinking yes but I could be wrong (not likely...but possible).

When did they play in the Orange Bowl?
Rose-check
Fiesta-2003, 2005 2006
Sugar-1999
Orange-1977.
Edit: Just saw it, 1977 over Colorado.
And I think so, in the modern BCS era. Miami and USC are the only schools that I could think of, and both had not played in the Fiesta Bowl in the BCS era. -
dazedconfusedi'd be shocked if it wasn't the sugar bowl against an sec team

yea i remember back when PENN ST. played FSU in the orange bowl. it was so meaningful to the FSU fans that they gave back 5000 tickets they couldnt sell. i wonder how much that bcs bowl game meant their program and recruiting? their down hill slide actually picked up steam. according to your philosophy that bcs bowl appearance. should have been a major shot in the arm. can you explain that? -

Texas and Oklahoma, though some of those were a long time ago. -

and I as well...IMO, providing we win Saturday and LSU doesn't leap frog into the NC, that'll be the matchup. It'll be in their backyard again, but it'll also make kicking their ass all the sweeter--GO BUCKS!!!dazedconfused;572558 wrote:i'd be shocked if it wasn't the sugar bowl against an sec team -

When their best win is going to be a local community college, its pretty easy to say Florida is officially FLASH IN THE PAN U. -

I assume you are talking all time since OSU won the 1977 Orange Bowl. If that's the case Notre Dame has also done it.Tiernan;572384 wrote:Is OSU the only team to have won at least one game in all 4 BCS Bowl locations? I'm thinking yes but I could be wrong (not likely...but possible).
