    Yea....something like that

IMO, what's wrong with the Heisman anymore is the award is going to the best player on the best team and it never used to be that way. I think Robinson has a strong case to not only be invited to New York but win the award, although he won't win it because of Michigan's record and that's shame.

^^ala Paul Hornung...I agree, rock--it really is more of a team award now--or team success award

It will be interesting to see if how many votes are swayed because of Newton's off the field problems. It might spread the vote out to more so many a guy or two gets invited that normally wouldn't.

Hornung would have never been invited to today's Heisman Award ceremony. Although they didn't play on a two win team, there's several Heisman winners who played on good teams didn't win or play for an NC like Barry Sanders, George Rogers and even Tim Brown to list a few.

Tim Tebow says you're wrong. Just messin with ya Rock we all know Tebow is the expection to this rule. I agree it is a shame that the Heisman really doesn't go to the best player anymore but in todays game when you have 3-5 players who are all playing great and have a shot at the Heisman team records will eventually take over.

Actually, yes. ESPN currently has him #3 in the Heisman Race, which would get him a seat in NYC for the presentation.

Impossible! That much intelligence embeded in any one person could possibly result in a shift in the time space continuum causing catastrophic damage to the Universe as we know it.

Put Cam Newtown in the Big Ten, he wouldn't even play. Same with Tebow, guy would be injured after game 1, why else do you think Pryor avoids contact?

Then ESPN has no idea what they are doing,he in no way deserves to be even invited.

The Heisman race right now is between four guys:

    Cam Newton
    LaMichael James
    Andy Dalton
    Kellen Moore

Apparently you never saw Heismanology on CFB Live everyday. They had people in the office who have votes and had Denard as the front runner and in the top 3 until about 3-4 weeks ago. It's not like ESPN came onto Ohio Chatter and said "Huh, I never heard of that guy, let's talk about him on the show today."

If Denard pulls a Desmond Howard late in the game with a long scamper, he'll win it for sure.

ESPN might have him ranked #3, but I really doubt he comes anywhere close to 3rd place. LaMichael James, Cam Newton, Kellen Moore, and Dernard Robinson have all outplayed TP.

Don't get me wrong, TP is a winner and is certainly very valuable to Ohio State, but he isn't even close to being the most outstanding college football player in the country

Only player in NCAA history with 1,500 and 1,500 and some people act like he's a bum.

I have a love/hate feeling towards TP as an OSU fan.

TP avoids contact because he is a full on pussy.

Cam Newton is the player that TP should be. I'm not sure why Tress recruited him if he isn't going to use his skillset/use it improperly. Pryor is best suited to be in an offense like Newton, using his athleticism and speed. However, Tress uses him like he is Peyton Manning. Pryor will never be a precision passer and is never going to be anything more than an above average pocket passer. I would compare the way Tress uses TP to a guy who buys a Ferrari and then uses it as an off-road vehicle.

im pretty sure one of the main reasons Pryor came to Ohio State is because Tressel could work him to get him more NFL ready than other schools he was interested in such as Oregon and Michigan.

Newton is 203 yards rushing away. Crazy to think that we could see the first two 1500/1500 players in the same season.
