Harrison Barnes shoots 0-of-12 in loss to Minnesota

Is this cause for concern North Carolina fans, or just an off night?

He was on fire in the first half against Hofstra last night, so I'm gonna chalk this up to a TERRIBLE night. Barnes will be fine. As for Carolina, as a whole...well, we'll see what happens.

no reason to be concerned he is an all american.

Sullinger will never go 0-15. Hell it will be a shock if he shoots under 50% in any game.

Basketball is a streaky sport, just look at what Robbie Hummel did against Ohio State last year at home. He goes off for like 30 in the 1st half and they jump out to a big lead and then the second half he falls apart and OSU somehow comes back to win. He'll be just fine

Did OSU probably adjust to Hummel and shut him down in the second half? I watched that game and swore he didn't have nearly as many shots in the second half. I could look it up but I don't care enough.

He came out cold and then they stopped giving him the ball and then ET took over

Roy should bench Harrison. The kid sucks.

Just an off night, kid will rebound. Minnesota isn't that bad.

All players have an off nite on occasion. This isn't a big deal...BUT at 6'8", you would htink the kid could get to the basket, get an offensive rebound put back, or something. You always teach kids that if the jumper isn't falling, to get to the basket and build confidence.
    BTW, GREAT win for Minny!!

Not a valid comparison. Sullinger will get the majority of his points from within 5 feet of the basket. I'd hope he would shoot better than 50%

Not playing Des Moines North High School anymore but yea he will be fine.

It takes a few games to adjust playing at the next level, the kid has some big expectations riding on those shoulders. He will be fine and so will UNC. Good win for Minny the kid Hoffarber or whatever his name is was shooting lights out.

Ehhhh didn't want to make a new thread...

Carolina got back to its winning ways tonight against UNC-Asheville, 80-69.

Barnes had 13 on 5/12 shooting, but 3/3 from 3 pt. Zeller led the way with 23 and there were 3 other Heels in double figures.

Carolina had about a 20 point lead in the second half, only to see it dwindle down to 6 with about 4 minutes to go. They played well at times, but very inconsistent once again.

Henson had a double-double again, plus 5 blocks. Justin Knox appears to be a pretty decent role player, scoring in spots and rebounding well. Zeller is obviously going to be the go-to guy on offense, at least until Barnes becomes more comfortable. All the guys have shown bright spots, but they just can't seem to put it together for 40 minutes.

College of Charleston is next and we all remember how that went last year.

    UGH C of C.

Yeah I read in the recap from ESPN that Carolina had a 22 point, 2nd half lead.
