Lucky? Are we lucky to have Thad Matta? Hell yes. But did thad get lucky to get these guys? Hell no

And Oden will always be one of my favorite buckeyes, but he is one dimensional and anyone who says otherwise is blinded.

If it wasn't David Stern caving to pressure and putting that bullshit rule in place, they(along with Conley and others) would have never played a second of college ball

what does this have to do with THE OSU being lucky? if you want to call someone lucky, look no further than Kentucky!!!
  • Ty Webb
Ok vball,I'm going to say this very slow for you so you understand

    Had...Stern...not...put...that...rule...in...place...Oden,...Sullinger,...Conley,...and others...would...have...never...played...at...Ohio...State.

    Can you understand that?
  • karen lotz
That doesn't make OSU lucky. I'm sorry its so difficult for such a mental midget like yourself to understand. I guess Kentucky is lucky they had Wall and Cousins last year too, right?
  • Ty Webb
Yes,every school that gets these "super" players should be kissing David Stern's ass every year
  • karen lotz
If you want to comment on being lucky, you should say something like this: "Everyone on here is lucky they have the correct number of chromosomes, because I know from personal experience it is difficult to understand the simple things in life if you don't."

Yeah we are so fucking lucky that Satch jizzed a Y instead of an X otherwise Jared would be a girl. I should go kiss his ass.
  • Ty Webb
Do you honestly think Oden,Conley,Sullinger,Koufus,Mullins,Buford,or Turner would have wasted their time with college basketball unless they had to?

Buford technically could have left 2 years ago. Turner also played 2 years longer than he had to. Do you not understand how the rule on entering the NBA works?

Also, who is Mullins? Do you mean Mullin?

I'm not sure what this guy has to do with OSU, as I'm pretty sure he went to St John's...

I don't have anything against Oden. I doubt anyone else does either.

maybe not, but that's not what this post is about...the way you're twisted this all around, it's no wonder you like spending so much time on the political forum--maybe that's where you should stay!!!
  • Ty Webb
Yea I do,they have to play atleast one year in college.

But every single one of those guys would've gone straight to the NBA if they could've

No, no I gotcha. Doucher Webb is saying we are "lucky" because we took advantage of the system in place and got the best players available.

Some things in life are luck, OSU getting great players year after year is not.

Oden yes. Conley NO WAY nobody was that high on him. Sullinger no---I truly believe he wants to be here. Mullens- Yes. Buford/Turner stayed longer than 1 year so obviously NO. Koufus sucked anyways but he probably would have.

I don't think Turner would have been anywhere near going straight to the Association out of high school. He developed into the player he is while he was at OSU. Buford was a McDonald's AA but I'm not sure if he would have skipped college either, especially considering he has had that opportunity 2 times since he arrived in Columbus and hasn't done it.

    No they don't.

All they have to be is one year removed from high school. They don't HAVE to play anywhere.
