Laley23I LOVE this day, but these games are severely lacking in comparison to last year. At least imo.
-
CinciX12These games suck.
And honestly I don't understand the things certain programs will do to whore themselves out to get time on ESPN.
Lookin at you, Monmouth. Who is going to wake up at 6 am to watch basketball in Jersey? At least thats where I think you are. -
IliketurtlesBest game on there is the Womens game (sarcasm). But sadly I'd rather watch that than 75% of the games they are showing. This year seems pretty lame as far as games go normally its not this bad is it?
-
wildcats20Ohio State/Florida is going to be a great game.
-
Laley23The games arent as good as years before. But there are 6 (all mens) games that I am looking forward to and really excited for. Plus, unless you plan on staying awake, you cant even count the early morning games.

A big program would never do that. But if you are a small time school, of course you are going to do anything to accommodate ESPN and get your program some exposure. -

But no one is going to watch at 6 am. And lets not even discuss the actual attendance. Just seems like a dumb idea to me. To each their own though. -

Im guessing they sell-out. Dont quote me, but they will get their couple thousand, which is PROBABLY more than they usually get. ESPN gets better ratings than they usually get at 4am.
Plus, they are going to get their highlights shown because its an ESPN covered game, so ESPN will have the highlights. The shows leading up to it will preview them, and possibly their conference(s). ESPN is more likely to put them on again when they are accommodating for something like this. We never know how it all works because contracts arent public. But I wouldnt be shocked if in the early AM games ESPN guarantees them a primetime game within the next few years or something. -
wildcats20First game tips in about an hour and a half.
Miami travels to Memphis. For some reason I think Miami will pull off the slight upset. -

I will get to watch the first half of the 6 am game.... I think the Kent game at 8 will be O.K. (I love Kent)... Where I work , the TV will be rolling all day with the games. Should be great to watch them all... even if most of them are not high profile teams... it is just good basketball! -
LeonardoI'll be watching the Memphis/Miami game, then probably catch some of the Kent State game tomorrow before work, then all of the games after 6 PM.

wildcats20And SIU is going to lose to Northeastern on a Chris Weber moment.
Rebound the ball with 2.1 left and someone calls timeout with none remaining.
Makes the first FT, misses the 2nd. SIU ball with 2.1, down 1. -
osu45804SIU just pulled a Chris Webber lol
-
Laley23Did anyone actually call that TO? They could have said it, but no one made the visual signal, in which case the referee should NOT have granted a TO unless it was perfectly clear who called it (ie, dude is in his face).
Either way, SIU traveled big time so Northeastern shouldve had a chance for the win anyway. -

It looked to me like the SIU player that was kind of off to the left of the official was signaling.Did anyone actually call that TO?
