Iowa @ Ohio State

FootwedgeBuckeyes have to come down to earth after huge win. Hey Tress...see what happens when you throw it on first down?

Cleveland Buck
He only did it once. That's not an adequate sample size to sway his thinking.Footwedge wrote: Buckeyes have to come down to earth after huge win. Hey Tress...see what happens when you throw it on first down? -

It was a thing of beauty, wasn't it? Changed the whole complexion of the game.Cleveland Buck wrote:

This team would score points....a lot of points...if he'd set up the run by throwing early in the game. -

Where have I seen that score before?captvern wrote: OSU's Defense is to good. They will shut Iowa down and score a couple of TDs I think OSU wins 24-7 -

believerBucks win this one easily.
Gotta tell ya, it's but fun this week in Happy Valley. Lots of pissed off PSU fans and I'm loving it! LMAO -
captvernThis game will play out like the Penn State game. I would not be suprized if Iowa does not score
-
Fab1bSaturday can't get here fast enough!
-
captvernHow many Big Ten championships in a row is this going to be for the Buckeyes
-
DefianceBluI believe this will be tOSU's 4th shutout...even with Stanzi in there it wouldnt of been close.
My 2nd post here and from what I have seen I am glad this site is up!

devil1197I truly think Tressel sets up the 1st down long ball by contiually running on 1st down. Then he busts out a long bomb when he knows it will be open. PSU didn't know what hit em, Posey and Dane were both wide open and the S went to cover Dane.
-
The EnforcerIt would be great if Iowa would send Ohio State to the Capital One Bowl on Saturday, but without Stanzi it is going to be a tall order.
-
devil1197With or without Stanzi it wouldn't have mattered.
Iowa was able to come back on teams that didn't have good defenses. The Hawkeyes committed countless mistakes that should have cost them games but they were able to get into a groove against bad defensive teams. They would not be able to do that against OSU.
Stanzi isn't this great player, he was very lucky. If he makes those mistakes against an OSU team early he isn't going to come back against that same OSU defense later in the game. -

ptangzootThis game kind of scares me though...too many people thinking OSU will roll.
I certainly hope they do. -
Cmhs74OSU needs to come out and win this game early. Letting Iowa hang around could be costly. Ohio State should roll but.....
-
Fly4FunI want to say Ohio State should win comfortably... but Iowa has found ways to stick around and win games all season.
It really depends on which Ohio State offense shows up for the game. -
Columbus CardBuckeyes wrap up a Rose Bowl bid Saturday in the Shoe.

BigDaddyLipscombI missed the USC game this year because one of my best friends got married that day, and told my brother back in September "Screw it, we'll go to the Iowa game." Didn't think it would work out for this one being for the Big Ten title, but I'll take it!

I think Pryor finally figured it out in front 110,000 Pennsylvanians last Saturday.Fly4Fun wrote: I want to say Ohio State should win comfortably... but Iowa has found ways to stick around and win games all season.

les_diables_bleusIt merely depends on which OSU team shows up. Was last Saturday an aberration or a step up on the ladder of coming together as a team fulfilling it's potential? If THAT team shows up, the Iowa (and Michigan) games will be over early.
Any step back to the Purdue performance opens a can of worms that Buckeye fans dont want to think about.
Before this season began, the talking heads were saying this Buckeye team was a year away. Well, if they can secure their fifth Big Ten title in a row and then follow that up with a Rose Bowl victory over whoever, the first steps will have been taken to get back the respect lost in the wake of two National Championship game beatdowns and the perception that the Big Ten is a second rate conference.
GO BUCKS! -
dwccrewThe spread, last I checked, was 13.5 and I think OSU covers. Iowa wasn't that good with stanzi, without him and in the Shoe, the Bucks will be pumped. Especially with what is at stake. OSU 24-9
Let's go Bucks!!!!! Clinch the Rose Bowl and put yourself in position to be outright Big 10 champs. Dynasty -
PaladumbI'll take the Bucks-------- they will cover the spread....
-
allstarThe Buckeyes offense still doesn't impress me enough for me to think this game will be a blowout, but they will still score enough to win relatively comfortably.
