This Is The Highest Scoring Buckeye Team Under Jim Tressel
-
krambmanAnd the highest scoring by a lot. Here are the average points per game for each season under Jim Tressel. This year they are averaging exactly 42 points per game through nine games. That's more than a touchdown more than in 2006. Also remember that the starting offense has only played in three complete games all season. So, for those who have complained about OSU having a boring offense or about the play calling, this team has produced points like no other team under Jim Tressel.

Yeah, I think that now that we're getting into November we'll see the scoring go down with Penn State, @Iowa, and Michigan. Iowa is the only one there with a really good defense (PSU's D isn't that bad) but it's still Big Ten football in November. I have a feeling that if we looked we'd see that scoring up overall in college football this year. No one seems to be playing defense these days. Just look at the kind of scoring that Auburn is doing in the SEC, a conference known for defense.
