Sparty and the Broncos agreed to a 3 game series. 2 in East Lansing and 1 on the Smurf Turf.

Sparty is good now, but in the years when they play Ohio State they'll have at least one loss, and you can take that to the bank.

They will be undefeated when they play Boise in 2012.

Sparty rolling out some big series lately, w/ WVU, Alabama, and Miami...

They won't be undefeated afterwards though.

Wait, let me get this straight. Boise State is all for a 2 for 1 with Michigan State, but when Boise State was calling teams out for not wanting to play them and Nebraska called their bluff by offering them every possible scenario (1 for 1, 2 for 1, 1 for 1, plus one at a neutral location) - they didn't respond.

Disappointed Sparty'll be on that abortion of a cartoon playing surface.

Michigan Vs Alabama and Michigan St vs Boise St.....big set of opening day games for the big 10 in 2012
  • OQB
Boise will win, end up undefeated, and be ranked about 3-4, but not play in the ship.
  • OQB
Don't forget that HUGE game when Kent State travels to Alabama to take on the Tide......Heard that has national title implications on it!

People will still say "That's not enough"
  • OQB
They could play a ranked SEC, Big Ten, Pac-10 team all in the same year and it still wouldn't be enough.

OSU plays a ranked ACC team and 2 ranked Big Ten teams. That's enough.

Notre Dame plays USC, Purdue, Michigan State, UM, and the service academies, that would be enough....... if they won.

Mainly because MSU hasnt been good. MSU has been in the final rankings once since 02(thats as far back as espn let me go) and they ended at 24(in 08). Lets not act like they are world beaters.

That wasn't my point. I'm saying that I truly believe that they pretty much have to go independent and copy ND's schedule for idiots to finally shut up.

Until you beat Ohio State, you will never get any respect. Look at Florida and LSU, absolute garbage programs until they beat Ohio State.

probably but lets face it, michigan state is having a good year. they are not a consistent top 10 team, usually finish in the 20s or unranked.

notre dame plays a ranked mwc team and a ranked pac 10 team.

Maybe Boise is finally getting the point.

Waiting until 2012 sucks because what if Boise and Michigan State aren't on the level that they are now? It's not that big of a deal. Boise should be in the conversation now. I'm glad they are going to be adding a Big 10 team but like I said they may not be the force they are now. Then people can be like see they don't belong in the conversation.

Thanks for adding that "if they won." Same goes for OSU.

Nebraska never offered the a home-and-home option. They offered them a three game series with two games in Lincoln and one in Boise. Boise said no. They said they would agree to three games if the third game was at a neutral site. Nebraska said no. Then Boise said they would come to Lincoln twice if Nebraska agreed to pay them an additional $1 million. Again, Nebraska said no. That series fell apart because Boise got too greedy. My guess is that this series with MSU is happening because of one of two reasons. Either Michigan State did agree to pay them some additional cash for making two trips to East Lansing, or Boise was embarrassed after being found out about how they were greedy with the Nebraska deal and did it to save some face.
