thedynasty1998Heard about this the other day and really think it's a shame. Especially if he doesn't want to play and wants to keep the redshirt. Obviously his obligations go to winning games, but you hate to see a guy willingly sit a majority of the games to be forced into a minor role at the end of the season.
Plus, they could put anyone at LB against Minnesota and win, so it's not like he's going to be the difference in the game. -
TiernanSabino and the Licking Cnty Wonder Boy - Stormy Klein have obviously fallen out of grace with the coaching staff.
-
vball10setI agree, Dynasty. I understand how this may help the Buckeyes, but not sure how this is helping out Sabino- I feel for the young man.

I don't think Sabino fell out of grace, I think he just knew he would have a small role and decided to sit a year and have a good shot at the starting job next season. I don't blame him for that.
I do think that them pulling Sabino's redshirt says a lot about Klein, however. -
OneBuckeyeKlein is hurt supposedly. I don't think this is a done deal either. I hope if he does burn the redshirt he sees lots of time the rest of the year.
-
FatHobbitAccording to the article vball posted the coaches are the ones who decided they were going to redshirt him. I feel a little bad for him since he missed most of the season, but I hope he takes advantage of this opportunity.
-
QuintI believe Sabino started college as a 17 year old too.

0311sdpI don't think that they will play him unless another injury happens to a LB. With next week off it makes no sense to burn his redshirt with the injured LBs back for the Penn State game.

Common sense says this and I hope this would be true. You still have Newsome, Jackson, Rolle and Whiting. They should be able to help this out. But there is a rumor that Tress wants him moreso for special teams, which would be weak sauce, we are playing Minnesota for crap sake and Homan and Klien will be back for penn state most likely and maybe Bell (although he could be out the year). This just isn't right IMO. I hope he is there as a just in case. -

Klein played last week and got an INT. He has played in 7 games this season. Mostly mop up I am sure. But I highly doubt they are burning a redshirt on Sabino to play him over Klein when Klein has been playing already.thedynasty1998;535035 wrote: I do think that them pulling Sabino's redshirt says a lot about Klein, however.
As others have said, I think Sabino is ready in case of emergency only. -
jordo212000I would have loved to have seen him earlier, but now it seems like it would be a waste
-
FatHobbitI would think they could play nickel (or star or whatever you want to call it) against Minnesota and be able to get by just fine.
