  "Coach Purnell turned around Dayton, he turned around Old Dominion, he turned around Clemson and got them in the (NCAA) tournament all three years he was there and into the top 25," Larkin said. "He says it's probably going to be even quicker at DePaul because Chicago has so much talent."
  Larkin, a 6-foot point guard, plans to make his commitment official during the NCAA's early signing period, Nov. 10-17.
  The son of 12-time Major League Baseball all-star Barry Larkin said Purnell's Princeton offense and up-tempo style was a draw, as is playing in the Big East.

  Why couldn't he have been as smart as his uncle and went to X to play ball?
  
  Good lord though, he was sold on playing in the big east on a team that is certainly not going to compete in the upper half of the league.
