Would Tim Tebow start

Yeah, he'd start. We need a new place kicker. One Man Gang wrote: Anybody who thinks he would NOT start at Ohio State is a true mental midget. -
sleeperTebow would not start on any team in the Big Ten, except Michigan, because they are terrible.

If you really believe that....I feel sorry for you -
darbypitcher22He'd start in the Big Ten. He'd start almost anywhere. But his achievements are merely a byproduct of the system and being surrounded by so much talent. I still contend if he ever would have had to win a game or multiple games by himself Florida would have been hard pressed to do it

said_aouitaMaybe Tebow had a fat lip after the game, but he has a lisp. I ain't sayin' I'm just sayin'.

right here--Gerhart or McCoy for Heisman!!!!karen lotz wrote: where are all the Tebow haters now? -
Cmhs74Hope he enjoys his college career as if he tries to play quarterback in the pros he'll be knocked out the first game. Agree with ccrunner that lack linebackers he faced made him look that much better. Put him against the speed and agility of the players in the NFL and they'll eat him alive.

Put him at OSU and he has 1/2 his Td's if he is lucky. He isnt that good of a passer so he would struggle there with the playactions stuff.
You saw what a B10 defense did to him in UM a few years ago. THat would be the standard if he were up here.
 -
darbypitcher22That Michigan loss wasn't a product of what he did or Michigan did but really poor execution by Florida in all phases of the game....

Hmm...against OSU, 11 touches, 2 TDs (1 passing, 1 rushing). Against Michigan, 4 TDs (3 passing, 1 rushing) and 35 points. Looks like he put plenty of points on the board.ccrunner609 wrote: Tebow is a product of that system. What really fits is that he is in a league that doesnt play very good defense. darbypitcher22Notice the top 2 teams in most of those categories?
Except for Pass Defense, where's everybody else? -
ksig489When its all said and done, he will have AVERAGED roughly 3000+ passing yards a season and 30+ passing TDs a season over 3 years of being a full time QB. The kid can pass the ball.
He would start at EVERY school in the nation and a few pro teams THIS year at the QB spot. Heck, he could probably even coach about 2/3 of the teams better than they are being coached now.
Best player in college football over the past 3 seasons and it is robbery that he wont be a 3 time Heisman winner.
And no, Im not a Florida fan...just someone who doesn't hate Tebow because he is a great football player.
He may have put together on of the top 5 college careers ever played. (M. Faulk, Archie, and Herschel are the only offensive players I can even remember being as dominant over a three year period as him, and Faulk didn't do it against top notch programs.) -
ksig489Also...many experts are projecting as many as 9 SEC linebackers to be in the top 3 rounds of this years draft. Thats not bad, tell me what other conferences are looking at that?

SpeedofsandTebow is not a product of the system. The system is a product of Tebow.
As for leading his team to a win, see the SECCG vs. Bama last year. The game was taken over in the 4th qtr. by Tebow.
I follow the local media coverage way more than the national stuff when it comes to the Gators. I go to the home games and TWLOCP and I'm glad I don't have to listen to Verne Tonguetwist and Gary Danielson. I get the truth when I read the inside stuff on the Gator boards. When I see comments from haters like some here, I laugh because I know what he can do. All time state high school passing record, state title, played 3 qtrs. of a game on a jagged broken tibia, etc. He is a leader, and the Gator team chemistry right now is as tight as its ever been. It needs to be, because Bama was close last year and it will be the toughest game this season for both teams this week.
Some of you who knock the SEC are looking stupid. 4 SEC head coaches have National Championship rings. Last year Fulmer too. Mullen, Richt, & Chizik got rings as O.C. or D.C. at other schools. The SEC has the best recruiting classes year after year. Best coaches + best players = National Championships. I'm not saying all other conferences suck, just saying the SEC is the best college football period. -
noreply66The guy fits Florida
I just don't think he will be much of a QB in the pros -
ksig489thats funny you say that noreply66...Tony Dungy just said on football night in America that he would take Tebow at any point because "He is a winner, and winners just find a way to win".
Good enough for Dungy, good enough for me. -

This is why people can't wait till he's gone...The system is a product of Tebow? LOL, c'mon man ...stop...this sounds like a Nick Mangold thread with that noise.Speedofsand wrote: Tebow is not a product of the system. The system is a product of Tebow.

Look I'm glad you're happy with the flavor of Kool-aid down ther and he's had a good run but the rest of us just can't wait 'till the curtain falls on this shit. -
SpeedofsandThat first line is a joke. You know, like Chuck Norris wears Tebow pajamas.
Next year will be tough, losing the seniors plus 3 juniors. (Hernandez, Haden, Dunlap).
I wonder what the haters will do if their favorite NFL team drafts Tebow. -

Not exactly. Had Pryor redshirted as a freshman (assuming Tebow was at OSU) he still would have 3 years of eligibility after this season. This is the likely scenario. Pryor did not go to Ohio State because he thought he'd be starting right away, he went there because he thinks he will be turned into a NFL QB and he feels he has a better chance of that happening at OSU than UM.karen lotz wrote:
