It's about time!!!

Almost an hour into college gameday, and I thought I was NEVER going see ESPN sucking the Tebow-dong. But lo and behold, I wasn't disappointed. They just had the "forget the undeserving stats, we at ESPN love him so lets win him the heisman with media exposure" segment on ESPN, where today kids, I learned that I shouldn't remember Tebow's stats and numbers, but I should remember that he plays with so much heart, and apparently, he's the only player in the history of college football to win games with "sheer will". Wipe the jizz of your face Herbstreit. This is really getting sickening. We're going on 10 mins now, and Corso is about ready to cry.

Tebow is a GREAT player. Let me repeat; GREAT. However, there have been a LOT of great players play their last game over the years, and this is the first intended "tear-jerking montage" ESPN has ever attempted for any player. Christ it's like a funeral, and the gameday guys are giving a eulogy. He's not dying, he's just graduating!!! College football will go on, believe it or not. And I can't wait for his career to be over, just so I don't have to hear his name every 5 seconds. I respect him as a great player, and one of the best that's probably ever played, but ESPN can suck it. Herbie and Corso should just adopt him, they love him so much, but Mark May wouldn't give up custody :D

    Ok, rant over.

+15 (in honor of Tim Tebow)

Not the most deserving of the Heisman this season and won't get it.

Can't wait till draft day when they show him sitting at his table all alone in the third round selections.

As funny as that would be, I don't think he would be even in NY if they have the slightest hint he won't be in the first round.
  • Nate
Actually, I'll put money on it they will have a camera at his church where he will be celebrating with friends and family or in Indonesia being a missionary while the draft is going. Either way, there will be cameras wherever he is.

    Lol, probably not...

I just remember how uncomfortable Quinn looked by pick 22. Disturbing.

I don't think he'll win it either, but it won't be for lack of effort from ESPN!!!

And I don't have any ill will towards him; I hope he does well in the NFL and hope he keeps being a good guy, my rant was more towards the media :) I know it's a dead horse, but today was over the top. I threw up a little up a little in my mouth!!

I heard a great summation of Tebow recently that I wish the media would adopt (don't hold your breath though)

Tebow = most accomplished player...not the greatest

I can buy into that were it not for the lip lock on the dudes sack they have

Can't wait till he's no longer mentioned in every single ESPN segment.
  • Red_Skin_Pride
^Agree. Espn's writers aren't going to know what to do when they actually have to write segments for some other player...lol who the hell is this Clausen guy again??
  • darbypitcher22
    Great thread.
  • Tigerfan00
Now Herbstreit cant stop talking about Tebow carrying the load.
  • osu45804
Sounds like a tearjerker I don't know if I could have made it through the entire segment w/o shedding a tear.
  • Fab1b
I would kill to see FSU win this game today and spoil Timmy's T party!!
  • osu45804
Quick somebody find a video of this on youtube .... I might even cry harder if I don't see this touching tribute
  • Tigerfan00
I about vomited the day I learned that UF put one his POST GAME talks on a plaque and put it on the side of one of the buildings at UF. He is literally God down there.

    You people are disgusting.

All this kid has done is win and be an outstanding role model and you guys bash him for it.

I'll never understand why there is this much hatered for this young man..ohh wait...I know now
  • Fab1b
I don't hate Tebow and I respect his ability and the fact he is a good person. I hate the media love affair with this kid. There are no other good kids in college football? They make this kid out to walk on water so I have fun balancing that out!!
  • pooter
There needs to be more Tim Tebow's out there.... Kids are influenced by what they see.... I'd much rather want my kid to be like Tim than any of those guys named Terrell any day!!!! Does his play this year deserve the Heisman.... probably not.... If I had a choice ESPN would be more involved with what Zach Collars is doing in Cincinnati.... Another good kid.....
  • riggo33
You guys aren't balancing shit out..

You're demeaning a guy who is argubly the greatest player to ever put on a college uniform

    Umm...

please don't compare Collars to Tebow

Zach has been arrested twice for DUI

Collaros was arrested for using a fake ID NOT a DUI...get your facts straight...
  • riggo33
    Big Difference...

    He still broke the law
  • ZalKath
It is a big difference...using a fake ID is like jaywalking...
