I will. I think Boise is one of the best teams to prepare for their big time match-ups. -
wghfanOregon vs. Alabama. You people that are picking Boise or TCU really don't get it.
-
cats gone wildI think Bama has very little shot in making the title game. This is the 3rd best Bama team of the last 3 years, IMO.

I hear you there they do prepare well. That game just wouldn't interest me personally. -
ytownfootballHere's what would be ideal...TCU/Boise
Finally let them sit at the "adult" table all by themselves...the rest of us will go to the kids table.
No one will give a shit. -

Exactamundo. -
cats gone wildRight...... considering he's beat many National Championship coaches and schooled Tressel with amazing play calling.

I would.. that would be a hell of a football game.
My personal hope is Bama vs Boise -
jordo212000I can't help but laugh at people getting butthurt about the possibility of Boise/TCU in the national championship. Why does it matter how many people are watching? Frankly I'm more concerned about watching a good game. I'd like to try and avoid watching another Bcs beatdown if at all possible. What were the ratings the year Florida beat the bejesus out of us?

Those ratings were much higher than what a Boise St./TCU championship would be. BCS is all about ratings and money. -
jordo212000How do we know what the ratings for a Boise State-Oklahoma/ Boise State-Oregon National Championship would look like? It's never happened before. I tend to think that casual fans (or fans with no rooting interest) would be more inclined to watch this game.
-
killer_ewokI just wanna see the two most deserving teams play each other for the BCS title. Fuck the Nielsen ratings.
-
ytownfootballThey'd be more inclined to hang around the Keg.
Seriously jordo, no one would give two shits. -

This.
Sadly this doesn't always happen. -

just look at history, the games that BSU and TCU have played in are lower rated than similar games with BCS conference teams. I'm not saying it's right, just saying the way that it is. -

Almost three times the ratings of last year's Fiesta Bowl. -

The Fiesta Bowl settled nothing and fans had already seen that game one year earlier. Not really a valid comparison. -

Look, I agree that the BCS is all about catering to the big guys and mass audiences... but at the end of the day why is everybody worried about how many people are watching the game? Why should that have any effect as to how "deserving" particular teams are? Shouldn't we be more worried about pairing the best two teams? -

The Boise State-Oklahoma Fiesta Bowl actually got better ratings than the next season's Fiesta Bowl between WVU and Oklahoma for what it's worth... -
ytownfootballLook, if Boise and TCU are 1/2 at the end of the season in the BCS...fine, then they'd be the two best teams.
and nobody would give a shit still.
Because the perception is they don't/didn't play anyone...
The fan base isn't there to give them decent numbers....
The casual fans will be hung over from attending other "real" bowl game parties.
Nobody cares about the Broncos or the Horned fricken' frogs...just a fact of big time athletics -

Well... maybe you wouldn't. But I'm think that there would be plenty who would care. We are talking about college football. Somebody is watching all those pointless bowl games you so doggedly defend. I think it is obvious from looking at the ratings, that as long as you throw two teams on the field and call it a National Championship you are at least going to get a 14
