Not an OSU fan, but aren't you doing the same thing by trolling on OSU threads? Oh ok, thanks. -

BlanketWhich bowl will Ohio State go to?
It is going to be real hard for them to get to the Rose Bowl now.
Michigan State's only test left is Iowa.
Wisconsin's only test left is Iowa -

I don't know but they'll need to lose a few more times to play Florida. -
BlanketArent they both going to enjoy watching the big game at home this year?
-
stroupsFlorida might be watching the game in the hospital because they are getting their asses kicked

Michigan State will have their hands full with Northwestern next week, and I expect them to lose. The Wisconsin @ Iowa game next week is huge.
But fuck the Rose Bowl anyways. -

Picking MSU to loose to NW is a absolute horrible pick IMO. -
Cleveland BuckNorthwestern is a good team and could very well beat Michigan State. I don't think they will, but I wouldn't be shocked.

A. Reminder: Ohio State's only real remaining test is also Iowa. If OSU wants a BCS bowl of any kind they have to beat Iowa and hope for some help.Blanket;522419 wrote:Which bowl will Ohio State go to?

B. That said, I think the Buckeyes lose to Iowa and get a Capital One Bowl bid. Not a bad bowl but not BCS and certainly not what coulda, woulda, shoulda been. -
ZombaypirateSometimes reality hurts. USC Alabama, Florida, Ohio St were all over ranked and not nearly as good as people think they are, or maybe thought they were?

First of all, not sure where your getting USC. They were barely in the top 20 to start the season. Bama is still good. Just not world beaters as many thought they were. They could win out. Florida..yes, they do suck. OSU just lost to a top 15 team in one of the toughest places to play in the country. Still plenty of football to be played. Last year, the sky was falling after a loss to Purdue. The season ended well. Long way to go. A poor game happens during the course of a season. You hope you can overcome it...but sometimes you don't. -

I tend to agree with you here...even if they beat Iowa, a BCS bowl is not certain. Also, Herbie said yesterday that OSU seemed to have a "favorable in conference schedule" this year on their quest to a possible NC berth, and as much as I agree with him on most points, playing AT Wisky AND Iowa doesn't neccessarily constitute a favorable schedule, unless he just meant not having to play MSU--JMObeliever;522591 wrote:A. USC was ranked and wrongly so. The preseason rankings are extremely flawed and cause harm to other worthy deserving teams.
I will be shocked when the BCS come out and UNDEFEATED Michigan St is below teams that are losers. -

Pal, hindsight is 20-20. It sure is easy to make these claims 7 weeks into a season, isn't it? lol -

It might be. I did pick South Carolina over Bama and Texas over Nebraska though, so I'm doing pretty well in calling for the unbeatens to lose to this point.
I don't think Northwestern is a better team, it's just a gut feeling. -
jhay78How about Iowa's schedule setting up nicely for them? Seriously, their 4 conf road games are : Michigan, Indiana, N'western, and Minnesota.
They get Penn St., Wisky, Mich St., and Ohio St. all at home. If they hadn't blown that game to Arizona, they would have a real shot at a BCS title game. -

NU has been inconsistent this year on offense. It finally caught up to them against Purdue. But they'll have had two weeks to prepare for Michigan State, and it's a home game, where NU has been traditionally pretty tough. MSU will be the clear favorite, but they can't take this game lightly. -
jordo212000It was quite obvious that USC wasn't going to be good this year and I'm not sure what Florida has to do with any of this. Fact is Ohio State had a real good team, a favorable schedule, and were sitting pretty for a spot in the National Championship. I'm pretty disappointed with the team after this debacle. They laid an egg. The fact that some team 1000 miles away from Columbus lost, does nothing for me
-
jhay78I'm disappointed that they lost, for sure. But I can't get over how they did it. It wasn't because of a dedided competetive disadvantage (maybe there was on Wisky's O-line), or a crazy bounce here, or a turnover there. It was straight up not being ready to play.
They knew they were in for a buzzsaw going to Madison for a night game, being ranked #1, and they spent the first two quarters stumbling around, picking their mouthpieces and teeth up off the turf. When they finally decided to play competitive football, it was too late.
