Ohio Wins MAC East!

believerThe Ohio Bobcats whipped Temple 35-17 to win the MAC East title. The Bobcats take on Central Michigan at 8 PM next Friday for the MAC Championship.
You were saying? lolFootwedge wrote: Great year for the Bobcats so far. But Temple should handle them pretty easily. Temple and Central Michigan are the class of the conference this year.
Way to go Bobcats! -
newarkcatholicfanThe way it should be.

karen lotzGood for the Bobcats. I'm sure Frank the Tank will have quite the celebration tonight in Athens.

jordo212000Good win for the Bobcats. I watched most of it on ESPNU today. They could definitely make some noise in a bowl game. Not sure what will happen next week. Central Michigan has been tough for the past few years and Dan Lefevour is a stud.
Its cool to SE Ohio get some play on ESPN though. They said some nice things about Athens too. -

darbypitcher22Congrats to the Bobcats. I know a couple of guys that played/are still playing there that were teammates of mine in HS. Great to see them doing well

myron pater boswellI'm not sure the cops will have much work apprehending Frank the Tank: students are on winter break.
They sat the band on the 50 yard line to give the impression of there being more fans there, for the few shots they show'd of the OU student side of the field -

Yeah I made a comment on another thread talking about ESPN was really trying to hide just how many people were there. They hardly ever panned out and if they showed the crowd it was the band more often than not. Silly silly silly scheduling by somebody. Who honestly thought OU-Temple would persuade people to not take part in Black Friday?myron pater boswell wrote: I'm not sure the cops will have much work apprehending Frank the Tank: students are on winter break.

myron pater boswell^^^Let alone at 11 AM.
To their credit, I think ten MAC teams played today. I guess they were hoping for some television air time when they planned this -

Take your internet handjob of Jim Tressel to another thread and let Ohio have there moment, k?sleeper wrote: Yawn, they've never beat Ohio State and they never will. -

OSU fans like you make me embarrassed to be apart of the fan base.sleeper wrote: Yawn, they've never beat Ohio State and they never will.
Let them celebrate this.
I don't see Florida fans coming in after we celebrate, yet another, outright Big Ten Championship saying, "Yawn, they've never beat Florida, and never will."
Grow up. -
FootwedgeGreat game today for the Bobcats. I thought Temple would beat them handily.

I agree but it's always, always been that way. When the university "upgraded" Peden Stadium to seat 25,000 I had to chuckle. Hell, we had a hard enough time filling the stadium when it only seated 17,000!
In all fairness it's not as though Athens is near a major metro area and easy to get to. But then again if you've ever been here in State College, PA you could say the same thing about Penn State and 110,000 seat Beaver Stadium but I digress!
It's too bad really....The Bobcats have put together a pretty good team this year. -
