OSU vs MSU for national title

That would be ridiculous- and awesome.

Public outcry is akin to a one day gas station boycott. Until people stop buying tickets and watching bowl games nothing is going to change because a playoff doesn't make financial sense.

Exactly. All talk that this scenario or that scenario would blow up the BCS is idle chit chat. The simple fact is that the only thing that is going to lead to a playoff is if someone presents a full proof plan that guarantees specific pockets are going to continue to be lined accordingly. Whether any given fan likes it or not, it isn't just about how much money is made but how that money is distributed. When you're on top, there is no reason to suddenly switch to a system that is going to force you to share more of your pie or otherwise risk losing some of it with unknown variables.

Oh I agree with that, but the public outcries from past BCS debacles will look like nothing compared to the coronaries and nuclear meltdowns of SEC, Big 12, Pac-10, Boise St., etc. fans if Ohio State and Mich St. are both undefeated and end up #1 and #2 in the BCS.

I think there's about a 1/10th in 1% chance of that actually happening, but it would be cool nonetheless.
