I've been a Buckeye "fan" for 43 years and I've seen it happen sooooooooooo many times I've built up an immunity to it.
Thats a shitty way to go through life as a "buckeye fan" -

You've seen it happen so many times? The Bucks have lost, what 16 times in the last 9 years? Give me a break. I agree that Madison is tough, even tougher at night, but TP has already won there and the Bucks are better this year. At the end of the night we have Tressel and while his methods are sometimes annoying, he gives us a huge edge over the guy on the other sideline. Bielema is only there because Big Barry handed picked him.
Bucks win 24-17 -

And what team, with the exception of Illinois, has Ohio State lost to that we were better than under Tressel?
Maybe in your 43 years of "fandom" you've seen Ohio State be more talented and lose, but it just doesn't happen under Tressel. -

Purdue. -
Terry_TateBeat me to Purdue, and even USC I'd say, though that one doesn't really count being that they are a perennial power.
I see this game kind of like when Ohio State went to Penn State in 2007. Was a tough night game on the road against a team that usually gives OSU problems, but Ohio State just took care of business. The Buckeyes should be able to harness Clay fairly well(still expecting him to get 70-80 yards) but I think the offense will be flowing and TP will have a good night. This could be a trap game, but I think the Buckeyes will be fired up to show they are the number 1 team and they will have a statement win. I could be wrong, but I am honestly fairly optimistic about this game.
30-13 Ohio State -
vball10setone thing's for sure...no matter the outcome of Saturday night's game, we can say we were #1 in the FBS in 2010 (even if it turns out to be for only a week). Unless you're Bamagirl or another Alabama fan on here that I'm not aware of, nobody else can say that...to date

lhslep134HAHAHA my bad, totally forgot about Purdue.
But seriously, outside of those 2, Tressel beats inferior teams. Wisconsin is inferior this year, like they were last year, and the year before. -
OneBuckeyeLast year wisconsin had the ball for like 40 minutes and only scored 13 points! That won't happen this year since pryor can throw the ball. I think they can win easy. I'm not sure if they will though.

same..cant believe there are so many people thinking we will lose. -
vball10setlike I said, it's easy to say "we're gonna' lose" and then get all geeked when we win....OSU by at least 14

I sincerely hope you're right.
I know I'm one of the naysayers in this game but everything about this game makes me nervous.
The Buckeyes have climbed to the top of the heap because South Carolina is to Alabama what Wisconsin could easily be to Ohio State. I agree that Wisky is the inferior team but all of college football will be watching this one.
The national OSU haters are asking if the Buckeyes are for real. The Mark Mays douche bags of the world have probably already pre-written their Sunday morning reports and wringing their hands about the "Buckeye Pretenders." The cheez heads will be out in full force at Camp Randall. They and their team know this will make or break the Badgers season. The "12th Man" will be in overdrive mode....count on it. I love Tress but I've noticed that from time to time his brain is one step behind in big games like this one. I hope I'm wrong.
Yes folks the karma is negative in this one. I swear to you I hope the Buckeyes steamroll Wisconsin to silence the Mark Mays douche bags and so you can rip into me on Sunday morning and say, "Believer you're the douche bag and you ain't no Buckeye Fan."
Nothing would make me happier! -
Swamp FoxFirst of all, I don't think Penn State is very good this year. I also don't think it's fair to blame Coach Paterno for the current situation. He isn't coaching near as much as he once was and the young bucks who will be there when he steps away are the ones more or less "in charge" right now. I marvel at the record that Coach has compiled, and when he goes he will be completing one of the most amazing coaching legacies in history. that said, Coach is close to the point of retiring and he obviously is getting up there in years so all I can say is that college football may never see another like him.
As far as the Wisconsin-Ohio State game is concerned, if Wisconsin can't win with all of the advantages they will have going in, I think the Buckeyes win out and will have their National Title shot. The only other game I really worry about is Iowa but let's take them one at a time. And by the way, don't discount the upstart Wolverines who may not be able to stop anyone, but with that quarterback running around back there, they are also a very scary season ending challenge for our Buckeyes. Teams only have to be better than you are on one day, not all season.

I agree with the sentiment about Joe's greatness. However, he holds the title of Head Coach, and is therefore accountable for his team's success or lack of it, regardless of who does the tactical stuff. -
OneBuckeyeDon't know how we got on penn state, but it is 100% Joe's fault because he didn't name someone to be the top dog when he is gone (Which is most of the time) The assistants are fighting for the alpha male role and can't agree or get anythign done as a result. Their recruiting is a prime example of this, where you have certain coaches voting against not offering a kid just to piss another coach off. There have also been many reports of coaches fighting infront of the team at practices and meetings. PSU is in deep trouble and it is 100 percent Joe's fault.

This is basically what I was thinking, although I was going to go with 31-17 Buckeyes. Four TD's (2 through the air, one on the ground by a RB, and one on the ground by Pryor) and a field goal. -

Got any links to support this? I live here in State College and while many people are indeed debating who the next head coach should be, I have heard NOTHING about coaching staff in-fighting. Nor have I noticed Joe Paterno being "gone most of the time."OneBuckeye;519057 wrote:Don't know how we got on penn state, but it is 100% Joe's fault because he didn't name someone to be the top dog when he is gone (Which is most of the time) The assistants are fighting for the alpha male role and can't agree or get anythign done as a result.
