LSU @ Florida

Florida's running game is stinking right now and they dont have a deep threat for the QB to throw to.
This is going to be a really good team next year.
Maybe, maybe not. Been hearing for how many years how Meyer has been stock piling talent. So its not like it just started, thus his team is "that" young. I believe the Oline is very experienced. And, as I have said...Meyer is trying to fit a round peg into a square hole in terms of Brantly into his system. He looks very uncomfortable most of the time IMO. I am sure they'll get better...new QB takes time. How good...who knows. -
cats gone wildHow awesome, DVR only recorded till 10:30 and the game lasted until past 11. Anyone got a link to the end of game?

I've been saying the same thing about Brantley. I expect to see much more of Burton here for the foreseeable future

Like Karen Lotz said, it has worked for them before. This is like the 3rd time it has worked. You can't argue against the success rate -
cats gone wildWhen someone was giving me updates via text, I was told they were preparing to kick a 53 yard field goal. I thought in the back of my head there could possibly be a fake. If it failed, they would of been wanting him fired. Great play, but alot uglier than the last time they pulled it off.

Great play? Uh..no. Pure luck. I am ok with a fake..no question. But to do it with a flip over the head? No way. Seriously had to be one of the dumbest plays I have seen at this level. It wasn't executed and they were lucky where it hit and how it bounced. So no, it wasn't a great play nor call. Miles is two plays away from getting fired on the spot. He must be living life the right way.
That being said, I will give LSU credit..overall, they played pretty well last nite. -
karen lotzIt has worked 2 other times for LSU. The toss was horrible and if it was executed better there would be no question about it being a great call for that situation.

Please. Did it work? Sure...but not how it was planned nor was it executed. The guy was supposed to catch it in the air. The ball hit the ground, and bounced the right way. A foot one way, its an imcomplete pass. A bad bounce, he is never able to pick it up. They were lucky on both the toss and bounce, simple as that. -
karen lotzMiles was incredibility lucky the bounce went LSU's way no doubt. The only thing wrong with that play or play call was the execution of the flip.

The only thing? Exactly. Its a risky move. Its not like thats a natural flip or toss. The guy is flipping it over his head with NO idea where the kicker is. Again, I could understand a regular fake taking a MUCH less risk either the holder throwing a pass, running the ball or turning and doing a face toss back to the kicker. But to flip it over your head is taking a HUGE gamble.
As the old saying goes...its better to be lucky then good I guess. -
SpeedofsandI don't even understand what happened last night.
Luckily I watched the sunrise today and caught a couple of nice trout, all is well.

Wow, that is awesome! Lucky you!! I am completely envious! I wouldn't feel bad though...I'll bet Urban woke up today and doesn't understand what happened last nite either! -

Agreed qb is the weak spot. I meant overall 22 positions most talent.
Another thing I've noticed is they are feast or famine. They'll play like lights out. But then they'll look like shit 2 seconds later. -

"During the timeout as his team huddled around him on the sideline, Miles changed his mind and called the fake.
Only problem was Jasper and Helton were not in the huddle. Jasper was practicing kicking on the sidelines, and Helton was practicing his hold.
"There was still plenty of time, but I didn't know it was a fake until we were back on the field, and I looked over and saw Coach Rob," Jasper said. "He yelled, 'Tiger.' He waved me down and told me. Then I told Derek. He was like, 'Really? All right, let's do it.' It's amazing because neither of us were in the huddle. But we practice that play so much at practice every week, it's like it's second nature."
Never in practice, though, has Helton bounced it.
"I was just looking at it and hoping it would bounce back to me," Jasper said. "It took a giant bounce right up in my hands. That's never happened."" -

Now thats pretty funny. And you gottta admit, that is typical Miles at end of game! Disorganization at its best! -
lhslep134Obviously at some point his luck's gotta run out, but if you're an LSU fan, it's gotta be tough not to get a heart attack while watching them.
I'm still kinda surprised Urban wasn't ready for that fake, 53 yard field goals in college are pretty damn hard enough to hit even when you have a kicker you know is going pro. -

Especially after Miles called a timeout with the FG team on the field. Obviously a coach wouldn't ice his own kicker. And furthermore any timeout in that situation is usually to send the offense back on the field to go for it. Miles sent the FG team back on the field. Some major red flags if you ask me -
SpeedofsandMany fans were yelling fake like Kirby Smart was yelling jump pass.
I was like Cartman saying "? The FUCK!!??"
Florida choked, probably will lose to UGA and F$U this year too.
I don't like Addazio vs Mullen this week either.
 -

Period
Even though there was much more to this loss than him. Such as, who didn't know the fake was coming?
