Man do they need to learn how to put a game away. A win is a win though.

What did he have to say today?

    He's a Pitt guy.
  • sherm03
It was ugly...but they are back to .500, and I'll take that.

The defense..with the exception of some really terrible safety play...had a great game.

The offense needs to learn that once you have the lead, the game isn't over. They go into cruise control week in and week out and puts a lot of pressure on the D.

I would like to see 4 consecutive quarters of solid play from the offense.

Right, just wasn't sure if he had anything stupid to say. You know, call ND's defense a high school defense...:)
  • killer_ewok
Yeah, basically cause he's a Pitt guy but he predicted a win today. Fuck that turd.

Totally agree about playing a complete game. This cruise control shit is for the birds. When you've got a chance for the kill shot.....go for it and cash in.

Outside of the TD to Baldwin and the one long run that Lewis got, the defense played a helluva game. They are showing some good signs. It was also great to see Gary Gray make that play to seal it. How long has it been since an Irish CB broke up a 5 yard out?

This game was as close as I figured, Pittsburgh just fucked themselves. They have one of the best at the position at RB, WR, LT, and the entire DL. I certainly hope the 'stache keeps his job because Brian Kelly owns him.

Notre Dame was not lucky to walk away with a victory, but certainly fortunate. It was a no contest after Pittsburgh missed their second field goal.

Western Michigan next, then Navy, then Tulsa. That would put them at 6-3. Where the fuck did that little bitch sleeper run off to?

Delete that last part. No reason to ask for an appearance...

It was nice having all the trolls on the Michigan/Michigan State game thread today and not on this thread. Made things actually kind of enjoyable during the game.
  • karen lotz
lol, cbf made an effort towards the end there but thankfully the Irish D made some plays. Could have gotten ugly in a hurry.
  • hoops23
May I ask why you ND fans of avatars of Eddie burning the ND defense?

Was it a bet or something?

LOL, ya shame on me for making a couple of OBVIOUS remarks about the end of the game. Keep your tard nose out of OSU threads...and maybe (and maybe not) I'll stay out of ND threads. Believe me, you outnumber me probably 20-1 in posting on OSU compared to my ND posts. Freaking hypocrite troll.
  • sherm03
    Yep.

We all lost an avatar/signature bet about ND starting off 1-3.

    All in good fun though.

Already counting all 3 of those games as victories? You would think with the past predictions of many a fallen chatter member you would learn a lesson.
  • killer_ewok
Well, I'd have to agree that there are no "gimme's." We'll just refer to them as "likely's."

Kelly said in his post game press conference he will consider shutting Rudolph down for a week to get his hamstring some rest. I think it would be a good idea. ND SHOULDN'T need him for next Saturday's game, but will need him to be healthy moving forward.

While he has trolled on OSU threads before, his posts today were simple in-game discussion points, nothing malicious about them. At least he's taken a hint.

I was wrong on this one, great win for ND. Should be able to win the next 3 and be 6-3 going into the Utah game.
  • Crimson streak
Overall a pretty good game from the d. Except for a few big plays they were pretty solid. I liked to see herbie believe nd could win out. He might be on to something ;)

The difference is, The Ohio State University is undefeated and #1 in the country, while ND is 3-3 struggling to compete for the Meinke Car Care Bowl brought to you by Sheraton Hawaii Bowl. Enjoy your bowl loss, my team is on track for another national title =)

The other difference is this Notre Dame team is more akin to the 2004 Buckeyes, with all of the changes they've made. I didn't expect Notre Dame to have the #8 schedule in the country coming into the season, so I cam content with 3-3.

I very much expect Notre Dame's 2011 to be like Ohio State's 2005.

Aren't you the guy that said ND could go undefeated this season and now you're content with 3-3?

What's pretty sad is ND is now content with 3-3, if OSU was 3-3 Tressel would be fired and there would be riots in the streets.

There are riots in the streets when OSU wins.
