LJI think, barring a TOTAL meltdown, people can admit that Mallet is the real deal
15/22 for 250 yards and 1 td in the first half -

And I was admittingly one of those who questioned him. But for good reason as he has yet to lead his team to a win over a good team. But he is well on his way and obviously looking good. -

mallet is the best passing QB in NCAA football -
DeyDurkie5Mallet looks comfortable in the pocket, and has a rocket arm...Regardless if he has TOTAL meltdown in this second half or not, doesn't change the fact he has very good upside ahead of him. I don't want to name any QB the real deal because of the many many many many busts that were supposedly "real deals"..but I do agree with you LJ concerning Mallet.

LeonardoAlabama at mid-field here early in the third quarter

No question, he is a pro style QB. My point being, up until today, he wasn't a big game QB. Look back at last years games vs top teams and he quite frankly, wasn't very good. He definately has stepped it up this year and so far today, looks very good. -
centralbucksfanBama young defense is being exposed today. I figured it would catch up with them at some point. This isn't the same defense as last year. Be interesting to see how their offense responds. This is an offense that is used to being in the lead, and running the ball. Now they will have to pass it. We'll see if McElroy is capable of doing this.
-
Cleveland BuckI thought Alabama would blow out Arkansas because I thought Alabama had the best offense in college football and they would score at will. I was wrong about that. I'm not surprised by Mallett's play though. Alabama's pass defense has been shaky, they just haven't faced a QB who could take full advantage until today.

Pick6This is a drive of beauty my Mallet.

Arkansas with 3rd and 16 at Alabama 26 -
redfalconField Goal by Arkansas from 48 yards is good (very good), Arkansas leads 20-7
-
centralbucksfan20-7.
Clev...best offense in country? Come on man. They won last year in spite of their offense. And as I said, we'll find out how good McElroy is trailing this late in a game. Something Bama hasn't had to experience in a LONG time. -

Really? The best offense? I can name 5 offenses that I think are better than Bamas. Bama has a great running game, but their passing game really leaves me underwhelmed and I was never impressed with McElroy. -
LeonardoAlabama misses an easy touchdown pass to Jones, as McElroy was forced out of the pocket.
-
Pick6and Jones just dropped a touchdown, even though it was pass interference, he still should have had that
-
Cleveland BuckComing into today they had the two best running backs in the country and McElroy was picking apart secondaries throwing the ball. After today it is easy to say they aren't the best offense, but coming in I would have put them above any of these gimmick offenses that put up big numbers.

Uh, they didn't play any body up until today. That above comment could be used by about 6,7 teams. -
centralbucksfanBama comes right back and answers. Running the ball down Ark throat. Soon to be 20-14
