I'm grateful that OneBuckeye stayed classy with this bet. I appreciate that man. I was getting kind of worried reading some of the suggestions.

Thanks. Yeah, I take things too seriously at times but this was all in good fun. Sure, I wanted to win the bet but you man up if you lose. Website or not, we gave our word so we stick to it. And thanks to Onebuckeye for being good throughout this all as well. It could've been worse. LOL

And I actually always liked Eddie George so if I have to have a Buckeye as an avatar....I'm glad it's him.

You should have seen them before the season, most were predicting a 10-2 season, and some said they would go undefeated.

And people wonder why everyone hates ND? They are cocky fucks who haven't won anything in 25 years, and all we have to hear about is how great the Irish are going to be and how they can beat Ohio State, when in reality they are an overrated piss poor program who would struggle to win the MAC or Sun Belt, and you can take that to the bank.

Pure fucking rubbish. Most? Let's see it. As I recall, most we saying 7-5 to 9-3(at best). I remember seeing 8-4 more than anything. 10-2 or undefeated? LOL. You really like to make stuff up, don't you? And although it was a LONG time ago.....ND won a national title 22 years ago. Haven't won shit in 25 years. Okay.

I agree, and this is a good post. Most Notre Dame fans I know understand what their situation is. I have not been here long so I have not interacted with many of the Notre Dame fans.

Sleeper, why do you feel the need to berate Notre Dame fans? While Notre Dame now is not what they once were and most of the Notre Dame I know realize this you want to rub in and express hyperbolic statements that are somewhat demeaning.

Just so you know Sleeper IF Notre Dame decided to lighten up their academic standards they would be right back in the mix of the elite teams in FBS. Their great tradition is still recent enough that they could take many top line recruits.

Those are rhetorical questions Sleeper, There is no way to tell how a high school kid will develop those top ten recruiting classes are totally meaningless. To prove my point where is Boise St in recruiting classes?

It seems that every year we see the same teams with high recruiting classes yet some have little success compared to what we are being sold. Notre Dame has not had one top ten recruiting class in a long while it is very obvious from the on field performance displayed by Notre Dame. How many National titles did Lou Holtz win while not at Notre Dame? Did his recruiting skills increase?

I am not a Notre Dame fan, I am a Buckeye fan, but I understand the tradition and academic standards set forth by Notre Dame.
Notre Dame could return to the elite very simply, many kids want to play there, but do not have the high school academic credentials to get in.
