Do We Really Need THREE "Pick'em" thread's stickied?

  • krambman
Honestly, why can't you do a new one each week. The first post can have a list of that week's games, the second post can be the standings. No need to have three separate threads for one thing stuck to the top. Whenever I log into this forum that only thing that comes up are the sticky threads. I can't even see a single normal topic because the page banner takes up half the screen and these stickies take up the other half. And do do these Pick'em threads even need to be stickied? I understand having a thread on the OSU, Michigan, and ND games stuck to the top so that we don't have 14 threads going for each game, but I think at this point those participating know that a new thread is posted every week and could locate it in the list of topics just fine. Just a suggestion so that the top of the page isn't so cluttered.

    Yes. Continue the sticky.......ing.

    Week 2 needs unstuck

Week 3 also needs unstuck, but we do need the current standings still

Week 4 needs to remain stuck, IMO.

What I'm saying is why can't the standings be put at the top of the new thread each week. Why do they need separate threads?

Honestly I don't understand why any of it needs stickied at this point. We're entering the fourth week of the season. Those who are participating know it's going on, they know Enforcer starts the threads, and they can find it easily enough each week to make their picks.

You can easily scroll past the stickies. You know there are threads down there. Do it.

If I had the powers that be I would for sure sticky this thread.

I think the mods are sleeping, haha. There should just be two threads... week X (4) games and standings after week Y (3).

One mod here is in mexico and really hasn't gotten on the computer much. Is it really a problem what is sticky and what isn't? Just click on the threads you want to read/post and be done!

Again, I repeat, why do we need two separate threads for that? Why not just one: Week X (4) Games and Standings After Week Y (3)?

The Internet is WAY too serious of business to EVER take a laid-back attitude like that about things.

One reason for having a separate thread for scores is because they are a pain in the ass. Unless you want to wait until Thursday to get the new contest it's better (IMO) to put the scores out later and go ahead and put next weeks contest out Monday so more people can play.

    Congrats?

Pretty juvenile even for you Lotz. How come we haven't seen your vast CFB knowledge displayed in the Pick'Em? Probably for the exact same reason we haven't seen Web-liar and that is becuz you are both pooooosieees.

I wouldn't go pointing fingers there, if I were you.

    Karen Lotz - 7,626 vcash
    Tiernan - 1,735 vcash

I feel you, but I still wouldn't use vcash as a measure, because I could bet all my vcash on one event just because I can and it doesn't matter if I lose.

Fair enough. I suck at the vcash thing. (If anyone wants to make a boatload of money just bet the opposite of whatever I bet.)

Either way it doesn't make a lot of sense to me to criticize someone for not participating. Tiernan is just a troll.

Betting with v-cash is as lame as playing online poker without putting any real money up. From my understanding Lotz is one of the inventors of v-cash so naturally he plays the stupid thing. All I'm saying is that the weekly pick 'em gives some credibility as to your knowledge of CFB over a wider spectrum than just OSU, ND or scUM week to week. And to date Lotz, WebLiar and a few other regular know it alls have been reluctant to back up their BS in public, because they are afraid of being discovered as the posers they are.

Interesting that you say you "smoked the field" last weekend yet you have the least amount of credibility on this site. Your lack of knowledge was exposed not only during the Michigan game, when you were apparently watching the game and reported that Michigan returned a kickoff for a touchdown, but also when you stated as fact that the Reds wouldn't win the division. Please continue to grace us all with your knowledge so we can continue to point and laugh.
  • karen lotz
And as someone who claims to have inside information, you sure seem to be dead wrong quite often.
  • Tiernan
I was very drunk watching the scUM game, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Still called both State of Michigan wins over ND big boy. Those had to hurt the Domers deep I'd imagine. Had 'em both within your grasp and let 'em slip away. My old HS coach called that "not knowing how to win". I doubt Bob Stoops would have lost either of those games. Down in your gut, late at night, doesn't it just gnaw at you ND couldn't sign him and now you have the Hamburglar? Looong season ahead Lotzy.
